However the techniques of writing a Trance melody & chord progression shown in this production video can be used with Ableton, Cubase, FL Studio etc.

From a Dj who used to Dj during the big late 90s trance boom, this is great stuff. I always loved Vincent De Moors melodies, his team up with Frerry Corsten as Veracocha was epic, as was Airwave, Airscape (Svenson & Gielen) Signum, Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Cor Fijneman, Mauro Picotto, Marco V, Dumonde, Nuw Idol, Flutlicht, PVD and so many others that were really good, brilliant times 1997 - 2003, 99/00 was amazing, the clubs felt magical at those times.
I will be coming back to this tutorial once I am more familiar with my DAW, should have done this many moons ago, but life had other ideas, but never too late to start.
Fantastic, all the best for the future! 👍

Hey Dan, thanks for this tutorial, definitely going to try some tricks in my current projects!!!!
It could be interesting to learn more on how to enrich the track with details. The small and sometimes unnoticed elements that make a track shine among the others. Talking about fillers, particular sound, elements used in the transition from one octave to the other, and so on.
I think when you start producing you may even find a great melody, great sounds presets and a decent arrangement, but then you feel your track is not "professional" enough and misses the little details that makes an enormous difference!
Cheers, see you in the next video

Synths aren't meant to sound realistic, they just need to sound good
