Yoo thanks for the shout out Alex! Your course 100% (and 20% hehe) took my production game to the next level. I've been a musician for a good part of my life but when I decided to start producing EDM I was really lacking in my mixing and basic production skills. Your course totally changed my mindset on how I approach tracks and took my mixing game to a whole new level. And to top it all off, I now have an amazing community of producers (including Alex) who give me great feedback on all my tracks and keep pushing me to be better. Definitely check it out if you haven't!
Your enthusiasm is addicting. Lots of videos are informative, but yours actually get me excited to try out the techniques you're demonstrating. Awesome stuff. Thank you!
awesome explanation brother, in 2008 I was making trance, now it's 2024, I've stopped making trance perhaps in 2015, I've lost many techniques from my memory, it's been a week that I started back making trance. I keep following tuts like this to empower the old man I was. Thank You,
My favourite arp in a song is actually Porter Robinson’s . The arp is the lead and, apart from adding an extra layer to the song, actually ties the harmonies between the bass and the pad. It’s a real goosebump moment for me.
I love me some arps. I use them in all my music and I've been making music for like 10 years. I tend to go with arps in the pentatonic scale just to glue my tracks together. It's become a habit to just "slap an arp on it". Much like I slap a supersaw on everything.
The first arpeggio is providing tension because it is functioning as something called a pedal point by holding the I chord as the rest of the harmony continues as normal.
Hey! Thanks for your lessons! Some days I want to buy yours boot camp, bro! I really appreciate yours lessons. They are playing important part in my musician life 💜
Dont post any comments often, butt i wanted to say that i live ur vids man and you are giving me those tips who makee my house productions way better keep it up man💪🏾💪🏾
hey mate great video as usual ! thank you for your energy and great inspirations. It's nice to see people out there feelin' and vibin' at the music the same way I do ^^ the chords make me think of summertime sadness by lana del rey even though the rythm is obviously different :D

That type of passion is admirable. It genuinely makes him happy
@@smoothmontgomery makes me happy as well
I rarely see an American human talk "normal". It's all "amazing", "great", "perfect". Until you watch closely how fucked up the States have become.
I like Alex for how much of a nerd he is for music. I resonate and I feel like this is just how he is in real life. A real bro.
These are brilliant. Arps for atmosphere can be so beautiful
I get super discouraged by myself so it's refreshing to have your energy to turn to when I get frustrated
100% agree. I get into creative funks all the time and it's great to have people like Alex help you get back into it

I love your passion & how you passively push everyone to be inspired. Just love it!
Love an ARP, also love that feeling when you play a few bars back and YOU KNOW you're onto a decent track, cannot beat that feeling

That students track sounds like a banger 🔥🔥🔥

@@charliemorris3118 why is not available on Soundcloud? :( i tried looking it up for inspiration
Love seeing how much Alex enjoys making these beats hahaha
omg that last arp chord patterns its just amaaaaaaaaazing!!!!!! increadibly!!!!
my new favourite video on youtube. who would have thought that simple arps are so powerful 😲 mind = blown!
You could really use a LFO/filter on those arps, otherwise they’re just a bit dull.
He's just trying to show some basic arps though. This video isn't about filters.
@@flickeringscreens plucky sound design…if you have the logic arp plugin in use, you might as well.
