The Yukon and parts of NWT experienced a telecoms outage May 10-11, 2024. An early season reminder to be prepared, get your 72h kit ready and check in on each other. A big thanks to the first responders and Emergency Measures team doing overtime to keep us safe and connected. ⁣

I wonder if many people out there have switched to Starlink? Many people here in rural MB could only get BellMTS DSL, so they were thrilled when they could dump that overpriced garbage!

Ooh! I recognize (and recommend) those little Jackerys. When we lose power in Texas, I have one for us and another for the elderly in our neighborhood.
