  • I felt a strong urge to return to the Camino de Santiago, the ancient pilgrimage route that had changed my life a year ago. I decided to join my friend Jim, who had traveled from the distant island of Hawaii, for another epic journey along the Camino Frances. I wanted to share with you the beauty and the mystery of this path, so I recorded my journey from the moment I left my home in Berlin, Germany.
I took the train across Europe, crossing borders and landscapes, feeling the anticipation and excitement growing inside me. I arrived in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, the small French town that marks the beginning of the Camino. There, I obtained my pilgrim passport, the document that proves that I am a true seeker of the way. I also met Jim, who greeted me with a warm hug and a smile. We were ready to embark on our adventure.
This video is only the first chapter of our story, a story that will unfold in the following episodes. I invite you to join us on this journey, to witness the wonders and the challenges of the Camino, to feel the spirit and the camaraderie of the pilgrims, to experience the joy and the pain of walking towards the unknown.

Awesome! Glad to see you back with more videos. I'm very interested in how this camino compares for you to the one of last year. Seeing some of the same places just missing some of the same people. I went in 2017 and have been contemplating a return. I wonder sometimes if I am chasing a ghost. I know despite my best efforts there would be expectations based on last time. It was a hell of a reset on life though and I feel that need growing again.

Hi I've done the Camino Frances three times did my last one from Feb to March 2023 and going back in April 2024 to do it again. Do you ever suffer from the Camino blues.??

How do you start film strangers and other pilgrims? There are many who do not want to be filmed and in some faces I imagine to see that they look unpleasant being filmed. Especially when it will go on TH-cam for everybody to see. Do you just start filming? Do you ask for consent? Were there people who tell you not to film them?
