Sadly, hadn't realised that it was integrated! Makes sense now looking at the mid link of the end link. Perhaps that tips things in favour of the 200 now?
@@JustOneMoreWatch yeah, I almost bought a used PVD coated version of this, thinking I'd swap out of the bracelet when it gets too scratched but then I realized it's integrated. Those drilled lugs are misleading
I use the Junghans app for all my radio controlled watches (here in NZ) and it works perfectly. I tell the watch to try to sync with the German signal, then tell the app I'm in Germany and boom.
I have the T200, S5000 Manta, and the P2000 Cachalot. All three are magnificent watches. My Seikos are getting much less wrist time anymore. The Zuratsu polishing lives up to its hype. The overall finishing on these watches puts them up there with watches costing thousands more dollars.
I have one of these and it is a consistent "go to" in my collection. I live in north America so I get the Atomic Clock signal making this a watch I know is always right. With full links, half links and the micro-adjust on the clasp means you should be able to get the right fit on the bracelet. The light weight titanium case, an easy uncomplicated watch face and 100 meters of water resistance make this watch pretty darn close to being a GADA watch for me.
Just bought it. What a beautiful watch. I think it is the best watch for the price. The bracelet is integrated to the watch. It looks so nice that there is no reason for using a strap. Highly recommended.,
You should check out the Casino Lineage line, especially the LCW-M100TSE-1AJF. Titanium everything, sapphire coated glass, solar, connects to radio so it's perfectly on time, and it looks great (to me).
Yes agreed. I bought a Casio Lineage LIW-M700 that has the exact same synch functions as the Oceanus line. Also sapphire, stainless, chrono, perpetual calendar, countdown timer, etc… all for $220. I love my Oceanus T200 still, but this JDM Lineage watch is an amazing value.
I've had this watch for four years and it still looks great, the coating on the Titanium is great, it hasn't aged. I'm in the states and use the radio, its a perfect watch, time is always correct and the perpetual calendar is always correct.
This one shoved my Tissot PRX auto out of the watchbox and out the door to a new owner. Lighter, (much) more accurate and wearable. I'm in Colorado, so I get the radio signal from Ft. Collins like, uh, clockwork. If the watch was heavier, I'd complain about the integrated bracelet. But straps on titanium just feel weird and IB's are all the rage now anyway. And with half links, I get a perfect fit with the 2 adjustment holes. Great review Jody.
This was my first JDM purchase. I had just started collecting and didn't know a lot about watches at the time. I liked the look of it and the feature set was pretty impressive. It quickly became one of my favorite watches. The integrated bracelet puts a lot of people off I'm sure, but I've never had a problem with it. 👍❤
I love my Casio LCW-M100TSE: titanium, solar, radio sync, and JDM. Got it new for under $200 from a Japanese seller. Please consider reviewing this watch.
The integrated bracelet is also a flaw. It's still up to Casio to offer the new model combining the advantages of both 100 & 200 and avoiding their disadvantages.
@@apeekintime the problem is that the S100 is not designed as a watch with an integrated bracelet! it basically just has the middle part of a normal end link attached to the watch. if it had a design that incorporated an integrated design instead of splitting an endlink for what is presumably a technical limitation, i don’t think people would care nearly as much.
I just sold mine, coincidentally around July through my watchmaker/friend on EBay. I loved the watch, it was super accurate (I got the radio signal here in the states), looked dressy yet sporty and was comfortable as you mentioned. So why did I sell it? Well, it was almost the perfect daily wear watch, but in a collection of (at the time) 15 other watches it got lost in the mix and maybe saw wrist time every other week. I decided to sell it and a few other watches and use that money to finance a Longines Zulu time. Interestingly enough, I sold it for about what I paid for it, so it retained its value nicely over the year or so I had it….
I've had a S100 for over a year, it's still my favourite watch in my small collection, it has an integrated bracelet and as I paid a premium, as it's titanium I'm happy to keep it, my only two small niggles are only two micro adjusts and I'm not a fan of pin & collar, at this time it's £314 direct from Japan.
Hi been watching your videos on TH-cam and the first one I saw was of the Casio Oceanus ocw t200 3AJF when I saw this watch I absolutely fell in love with it and started looking for that model last year mid last year. Eventually I was looking on eBay and I found the blue version 200 I ended up having to bid for it and pay £200 for it. It had a couple of marks but not on the crystal and it came. I couldn’t believe how beautiful the spot was gutted that I couldn’t find the green version it came to the end of the year and I gave up trying to find one eventually the website you suggested at the end of the year I happen to look on it and found one and I bought it straight away, hoping that nothing would go wrong. The shipping to England it came I unboxed it and it was an absolute mint condition. No marks the glasses is absolutely stunning on the green one and I’ve just put a bid in on eBay for the S hundred which is the one you bought last which will be my last one of these watches 10 on TH-cam has made me a Watch collector. I know three Casio’s one fossil and a Seiko quartz i’ve bought on eBay as well don’t think people realise how good they are these watches from Casio I will never ever get rid of these watches. Thank you for the advice. I hope you get this message. Thank you.
I still think the T200 is the best of the Oceanus line. I now own the light blue dial with the cool blue crystal and the new green one just came in last week. I think I'd be satisfied with a whole collection of Oceanus and maybe one or two good mechanicals. Managed to pick both mine up off a Japanese eBay seller for around $335 brand new.
One of my favorite watches. Everyone needs a nice grab and go atomic quartz for when all the mechanical watches are dead. Jody is right tht the Crystal is a smudge magnet. Titanium case is great, changing time zones is super easy. My biggest gripe is my seconds hand is just a little bit off alignment. Second grip is no quick adjust bracelet. But overall, superb watch.
Thanks Jodi! As ist just happens: I’m wearing my Oceans S100 at the moment, as I do at night because it is so comfortable with great lume… it is a handsome watch and grab’n’go as my collection of autos and manual winds has grown quite a bit. So everything you say sounds familiar! Only difference: here in Germany I do receive the atomic signal so I normally adjust my day watch with this wonderful Oceanus…
Here in south Florida the radio signal for the atomic clock, WWVB, is fringe reception. I haven’t tried an Oceanus but the Casio watches I’ve tried have trouble receiving WWVB. Citizen watches usually receive it. Maybe the Oceanus is better.
This is off topic but I live in Davie and just learned that there's a microbrand watch company based in Deerfield Beach, called Aragorn, which makes large (to very large) dive watches. That's not necessarily my cup of tea, but they are insanely well priced for the specs. And they're local! (I haven't actually been over there yet. But they have some of their watches reviewed on TH-cam. Though it would be great if JOMW reviewed one of 'em.)
@@youdoitillwatch I probably should check them out too, even though I don’t really go for dive watches. I’m nearer West Palm Beach - maybe that also helps reception.
You can receive Japan's radio signal in Australia if you point the watch just right in a nice open area. Height helps. I've synced up a casio waveceptor for many years.
I have this watch, it's a keeper, always a pleasure when I slip it on. Perfect timekeeping, good looking, comfortable to wear, what more could u ask for in a watch, thanks Casio. Better than the T200.
You should check out the Seiko Astron line if you are looking for the perfect Quartz watch. I own the SSH113 and it is probably my favorite in my current collection.
Very good-looking watch - the $400-$800 range of well-made quartz watches has a lot to choose from these days, but this one has features that really make it stand out.
I've owned this one for awhile and love it. The blue accents and subtle angularity of the bracelet and case, and the unique clasp all combine to give it a "classic futuristic" feeling. It's super comfortable and convenient for travel, love changing the time zone and watching the hands and date adjust automatically. Only thing I would change is to color-match the date wheel.
I’ve been looking at the 100 and 200 for quite some time yo-yo’ing between them and still not sure which I prefer, a love child of both could be the “perfect” quartz !!
My favorite watch. The integrated bracelet is not a downside for me as this watch just belongs on that bracelet. I wish the Oceanus line was available in Europe. I would like one of their higher end models and would prefer to buy it at a local store.
I have been looking at the Oceanus for years and for some reason I just haven't pulled the trigger, I'm honestly not sure why. Hmm...might have to revisit them soon.

Did you mention it’s solar? You said something about turning off the atomic clock function to save the battery? Also there are many simple to use apps that you can use to sync the watch to the atomic clock even if you don’t get the signal. I get it maybe 80% of the time on its own every night here in ny, but when I don’t I sync it. Always 100% accurate. I use this watch every day to set all of my autos! Great review 😎
I had one of these and loved the watch, so why did I sell it…… I agree with maybe 1-2 micro adjustments holes, i would like to see it in a 41mm with better lume and a blacked out date at the 6 o’clock which in my opinion make it the perfect watch
The same exact watch, change the hands, hour marker in silver and a third micro ajustement. would change drastically in the good ways that incredible watch.

Stunning bracelet shape, even not integrated would never change it. 2 holes clasp but you have several half links so you can fit to perfection. Blue indices absolutely not appearing so blue in reality. So light, confort and perfect fit. My only quartz within more than 30 units owned and in my top 3 time wrist among my beloved Longines silver arrow and weems heritage chrono. The perfect set and forget watch when you are late the morning and the one you use to adjust your automatic or mechanical watches. And yes I hate quartz in general but…..love this little one. Oceanus line put to shame every seiko at the same price level ( except design heritage of course). But remember buying one you will loose some wrist time for the others if you have a 6,5 to 7 inches wrist 😬
I'm a fan of almost everything about this watch and the series, it's an unbeatable value for the features, and it could be my forever watch... except... I don't love that light blue. Never saw that green 200 version before; gotta check it out. Anyway, from all my research, the ultimate quartz (without going Grand Seiko or TAG) comes down to these Oceanus models vs Citizen Promaster/Landmaster line, like PMD56-2951, AT6080-53L etc.
Hi, for a 6” wrist, do you think the T200 with its 49mm span would look too large? And if you had to choose between the S100 or the T200 which would you keep? Thanks for this great review!👍🏼
Putting lume on the arse end of the second hand seems odd, and being really finicky I really wish they hadn’t put a full stop at the end of ‘mvt’.. it would have looked neater without it. That said, the second hand is a joy to watch.. hit every damn marker without fail. A lot of watchmakers (SEIKO!) could learn from that!
These have intrigued me since Nick Shabazz went nuts on one. My only issue is atomic timekeeping sounds great, but since it's not a guaranteed signal, both worldwide AND in the countries that are currently funding the signal, I've never bitten. The Bluetooth versions sound delightful, and they are amazingly finished for the price. Perhaps someday...
I live near the atomic clock. I could offer you a concierge speaking clock service if you like. Given the time difference it will not be available 24hrs.
Such a great looking grab and go quartz. And I love that it’s solar powered and multiband 6 enabled. Something in me is still hesitant to spend this kind of money on “just a Casio” but that’s probably more a reflection of the amount of available funds in my watch piggybank more than anything. After all, Oceanus is the top tier of the Casio catalogue. Only the uninformed would balk at the price of a Grand Seiko and say it’s “just a Seiko” 😂 Fantastic video as always Jody 👏👏👏👏
Hi Jody I have the black PVD coated version and live in the UK. I think it’s fantastic! My go to watch and unfortunately for the coating my work watch. It looks a tad beat up now. J

That said, the second hand is a joy to watch.. hit every damn marker without fail. A lot of watchmakers (SEIKO!) could learn from that!
A Casio Oceanus without blue on it? The OCW-S100-7A2JF is all white / silver. Greg Anderson has a review of it here on YT.
I'm having trouble of finding a site with ALL Oceanus watches. Casio them self seem to "filter" me down. This is Sweden here.
Suggestions?
I had a very cheap £7 plastic Casio that gained a second in four months. Unfortunately the accuracy did go off the boil after a year or so.
Nice watch..... Oh dear, on my shopping list
Great review of a watch I was not aware of, thanks Jody. It is a 'steal' at that price, but I would hope nobody does that :)
Got a bit of a Formex-vibe with the case shape 😊
Yes, Formex, but more Patek Nautilus....
Nice watch. Tempted. Added to the ‘buy next’ list 👍
Excellent watch and worth every cent!!
Thank you Jody. Talking of JDM I have fallen for the woefully under-reviewed *Seiko SBTM307 Sapphire Solar *
Snaaaack! Good to see you here mate. I'll check out that Seiko.

Beautiful, just unsure it would fit my girly 6.5 wrist...
Nothing girly about a 6.5 inch wrist, if you're a slim guy. The fatter you get the thicker the wrist.
Yes!?? First.
Honestly the Oceanus feels like the true Japanese Aqua Terra
In my opinion the black and blue version is ultra cool ngl
I still love this watch, but i can't decide between the S100 or T200
Would be interesting to see how it fares against the Citizen Attesa.
Great watch, but wish these were a touch less expensive. They're still great watches nonetheless. Thanks for sharing.
Perhaps someday...
they have atomic signal apps for that
@@josefernandez2722 So...they could just use bluetooth sync and save the cost of the satellite module altogether...kinda my point.
The ultimate Casio, yes please!🥰👍
It's a handsome watch, but I kinda find the bezel a bit too thick.
Had one loved it, except for the gray smoke color glass. really wish it was standard clear sapphire glass.
Only the uninformed would balk at the price of a Grand Seiko and say it’s “just a Seiko” 😂
Fantastic video as always Jody 👏👏👏👏
Is the App as accurate as a timegrapher which I used to see reviewers use?
Personally I would put it in the top 10 of the best quartz watches out there.
dial layout remind me of my casio sapphire mts 100
Haha nice hair cut! Beautiful watch.
Quarts are great 2 or 3 mechanical is max for me all other can be quarts if a had a boatload of money
Jody. Do you know what Steely Dan named their band after? i.e. the meaning of Steely Dan??
I think it's the best looking Oceanus !
Hi Jody
I have the black PVD coated version and live in the UK.
I think it’s fantastic!
My go to watch and unfortunately for the coating my work watch. It looks a tad beat up now. J
URL to the app?
Casio seems to be making higher quality watches than Seiko, but isn't Seiko a much older brand?
