Merkava are my favorite tanks!!! I have a MK4 myself. Building a Takom Jagdtiger now! Love the videos brother. From one "Hillbilly modeler" to another, keep it up
I'm getting ready to start ON Mine while I am waiting For Paint For my Gepard! Your Tip with those tow cables, IS really a big Help ! Thank you For Posting !!!!
Glad I could help! Those cables are really easy to break if you don't soften them. Thanks so much for watching, good luck with your build my friend. Johnny
Well you learn something new every day! The way you cut the mesh for the bustle rack and used the extra thin to soften the cables is something I'll use in the future so thankyou sir and we'll done, nice build🙂
Another quality video my friend coming along nicely great idea using the extra thin cement to bend the toe cables nice job on the scratch built hinges to look forward to seeing it painted keep the great content coming and stay safe 👍🙏
Awesome job buddy!! You should try a acrylic based putty.. I use Vallejo, and the tamiya putty for larger seams.. if that makes any sense.. lol .. that’s a really cool looking tank! I am really looking forward to seeing you weather this one… have a great weekend and Model on my friend ✌️
So glad your channel popped up, I guess because I’ve been researching Merkava kits. I’ve been leaning towards Meng or Takom, but after watching your build, I may try the Tamiya first. I enjoy your pacing and a great balance of staying focused on a step, or abridging another. With some channels I find myself going, “Wait! How did we get here?”
So glad you enjoyed it, for it's age it is still a good kit. As with most old Tamiya kits it is simplified compared to newer kits, but an enjoyable build. Take care and Happy New Year! Johnny
You've done great job on the assembly, Hillbilly! Mercava came out just fine. That toe cable must have been a pain as well as the hinges. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend.
Very Nice Posting!!! First time watchin your Channel!! Excellent way of cutting out that bustle net with the 'Blue Painters Tape' with the copy of instructions sandwiched in-between by the netting. I also like the information on how to make Your repairs on those hinges in "METRIC" ( I Do the same!! ). Will check out the rest of this build....with the painting and weathering you'll do, because I have the same kit!👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks so much for stopping by the channel and checking things out, I really appreciate it. The way I see it, if I can make just one contribution to one modelers effort, then the video was worth the time to make. Good luck with your modeling project, take care my friend. Johnny

Thanks Greg!
I liked the hors d'oeuvre, i'm pretty sure to like the main course!
Thanks Zorg, happy you like it so far.
Very good start to this kit. 👍
Thanks John, it's a very enjoyable kit to build.
I used your tip on bending w/o breaking the cable and it worked out fine, thanks!
Excellent Melvin! Glad I could help. The best compliment anyone can get is that their tips work for others, you made my day my friend, model on!! 😊

This is one of the classic kits from Tamiya. About 1985.
It's a great kit Tom, especially when we consider that it is nearly 40 years old. Thanks for watching my friend, take care and model on. Johnny
Buen video amigo....
¡Muchas gracias por el amable comentario, modelo en mi amigo! johnny
Hey hillbill buddy sorry bit behind catching up all week on channels i seen in comments and notifications
Welcome back Keith.
I'm pretty sure Tamiya's Merkava kit is 40 years old -- when did it come out?
Hi Tristan, the Merkava kit came out in 1983, so it's 40 this year, good guess my friend! Johnny
