I do agree Israel needs drones……but after this war or actually based on real life do you really think Israel has a issue with urban warfare when they’ve fought this type of conflict for 40 years now? The more advanced systems and electronics does more to widen the already massive gap with Israel’s neighbors. No hate just real life shows us we can sit here and be over prepared and in actuality Israel in this case is ahead of the world.
Bringing tanks to urban warfare is stupid and look what happens to Israel they got destroyed and there army is not very good the lost to Hezbollah in 2006 and lost to hamas in 2004 and they are losing to hamas right now the urban is too difficult the tanks won't help you there and idf killed their own hostage and they think using the sea water against hamas tunnels well work and there lies as well

Auto loaders are often controversial with the use of personnel to load missiles, due to missile storage areas being vulnerable to missile attacks on the autoloader.
@@Jericho1000 Autoloaders are not more vulnerable than manual systems; bustle autoloaders have advantages over manual loaders as they don't require a sliding door for the round to be accessed; a small port is all they need; and they can be isolated from the crew with blast doors and blow-out panels. The carousel autoloader can't be isolated from the crew compartment and it can't make use of blow-out panels, however, it's statisically harder to hit the ammunition in the carousel; and it has the benefit of making the use of dedicated HE/HE-frag rounds possible.
Not really its mobility , firepower have not been upgraded. Nor has tge base armour. This is a mk4 with better sensors and situational awareness. Other nations are upgrading their guns, power-plants and armour as well as their situational awareness. Thake Challenger 3 as an example....
how strong the tanks gun is less effective as they get stronger, how well can the tank support the crew during intense combat is inarguebly crucial, and this type of sensory systems are just ahead of the current game. if its the most "advanced" or "best" in the world is a whole different question, for the IDF in israel/ palestine/ southern lebanon the main regions of operations its probably the best, but put it in a varied range of land like the US operates cross-continentally or even russia with massive variation your tanks have to be alot more generilzed its just an advantage the IDF and its contractors have by having a decently small variation in geography. so it is the best for what it does(most likely), but it doesnt mean that the lets say M1 abrams is not the best for what IT does.
It’s “horses for courses”. Israel does not sell its tanks overseas like e.g. the USA and other countries. Therefore Israel has designed a tank for the IDF as it’s only customer. It also suits the way Israeli armour operates, which may not be the same as Russia, China, USA or other nations. The role of the MBT has evolved too. Unmanned vehicles are already taking over tasks once carried out by manned vehicles.

what you're saying makes no sense, plenty of amazing tanks have not fought in ukraine and merkava is specifically made for the region in which it operates.

The new age of weapons is all about drones. The concept of anks is over 110 years old. Unless it's improved to fire drones it won't stand against them.
The problem is that the Merkava is a defensive tank, it was designed for Israeli conditions only, not more, and it is the best there, but in terms of global intervention it is not so good, the Abrams is weaker in the Israeli rocky desert, but stronger in other areas, what the US can do, is to adapt the technology to it's tanks.

“Best tank” is thinking with the mentality of a child. 🙄

"chieftain tanks" shows a centurion
Recent RL testing has concluded that these are useless in urban combat.... without drones.
Bringing tanks to urban warfare is stupid and look what happens to Israel they got destroyed and there army is not very good the lost to Hezbollah in 2006 and lost to hamas in 2004 and they are losing to hamas right now the urban is too difficult the tanks won't help you there and idf killed their own hostage and they think using the sea water against hamas tunnels well work and there lies as well
Got to be one of the best!!!
I have been a MAJOR in both TACTICAL & STRATEGIC WARFARE & the Merkava is CLEARLY THE MOST ADVANCED HEAVY MAIN BATTLE TANK IN THE WORLD
Best tank design around. Best turret design, check out how large & flat that turret is. Those balls & chains at the back reminds me of the Predator's hair that looks like dreadlocks 😂
I know that the word means something else but in my language (Polish) "barak" is a "shoddy shed".
dont bet on it, no matter how much one does, there will always be a need for a human in the front, a human holding the gun, fiering the gun, to decide to fire our not, no matter the technology nothing beats a human looking and deciding

Does Trophy protect the top of the tank if a drone releases a bomb from above? No mention of this capability.
Proven in Gaza...
No, but the cage is pretty effective to protect the tank against drone, which Israel adopted from Ukraine.
@@leoschmain9730that cage will only ‘protect’ the turret. The engine in the front of the tank is not protected

@@leoschmain9730 that’s what i say. Just for the turret….. not for front of the tank where de driver seats and engine is placed
It has not got a robotic turret and autoloader yet which other counties are working on
Auto loaders are often controversial with the use of personnel to load missiles, due to missile storage areas being vulnerable to missile attacks on the autoloader.
@@Jericho1000
Autoloaders are not more vulnerable than manual systems; bustle autoloaders have advantages over manual loaders as they don't require a sliding door for the round to be accessed; a small port is all they need; and they can be isolated from the crew with blast doors and blow-out panels.

Nobody has an upgraded guns yet the West is still using the 120mm Rheinmetall and the East are using the 125mm Spetstekhnika.
how strong the tanks gun is less effective as they get stronger, how well can the tank support the crew during intense combat is inarguebly crucial, and this type of sensory systems are just ahead of the current game. if its the most "advanced" or "best" in the world is a whole different question, for the IDF in israel/ palestine/ southern lebanon the main regions of operations its probably the best, but put it in a varied range of land like the US operates cross-continentally or even russia with massive variation your tanks have to be alot more generilzed its just an advantage the IDF and its contractors have by having a decently small variation in geography. so it is the best for what it does(most likely), but it doesnt mean that the lets say M1 abrams is not the best for what IT does.

Define 'the best':
-under what circumstances
-used by whom
-used where
-with /against who
-in what numbers
The Tiger was a formidable tank, killing Shermans from twice the distance, while shells bounced of its shell. But it was too heavy in mud and over bridges, being too difficult to produce, repair and drive, guzzled fuel like an alcoholic. So maybe it took 15 Shermans to finish 1 Tiger, but there were 25 Shermans around. (numbers made up for example).
Nice this computer support, but what when the computer needs a 'Ctrl - Alt - Del' in the heat of the moment? Call Bill Gates on a Nokia 3210?
under what circumstances : Bulldozer Escort.
-used by whom : IDF of course.
-used where : you already know that too ...
-with /against who : unarmed civilians & light infantry
-in what numbers : overwhelming...
True, no country will ever release the specs to the public, and a direct competition is not at all possible, so calling any war equipment, the best is useless.

Another factor is M1 is basically never scraped. They get brought back in, essentially stripped down, and rebuilt to most recent upgraded version, genius!
🤣 *yeh that’s why they’re ‘hiding it’ in Ukraine because it’s the ‘best tank’, like the Leo 2a6 or Challenger 2 OR is it the best tank because the US military has announced it now wants to move away from being fuel hungry, logistically vulnerable, transport challenged, over weight, over priced?* … _look it up, facts are real and babies cry below 👇🏼_

Without a doubt this is real! Furthermore the U.S. military should have these also!
Why? We have the Abrams .
Now imagine if Israel’s military had the funding and numbers of the US
I can already see it being a beast for at the very least 50 years if they had the budget of the US
