    Thanks for the shout out. I remember that day at the park well......;o) I broke my raptor and threw it away as I had already welded it back together once. Looks like I am going to have to order the Phoenix. Lets meet up this spring and tear up some of the parks again.

      I am so ready! It's been 2.5 weeks since surgery and it's still killing me. I hope to be digging with you again soon! The Phoenix is awesome!

    Awesome video! I too am worried about the shovel appearance. Do you think the model 31 raptor hand digger can replace the shovel if its a concern being discreet? thanks

      @mowerdog  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use the 31 digger 99% of the time. The only time I used the Phoenix shovel is when I was recovering from shoulder surgery. Plus open field hunting.

    what do you mean by saying you're gun shy using this shovel in the park? what's wrong with it? could you explain

    • @mowerdog

      It's the appearance that large holes are being dug. Even though they will be nice clean plugs. Lets say you know nothing about metal detecting and you live in a 150 year old historic home. You let someone detect your yard and you see this person with a long handled shovel compared to a hand digger. What is your first thought?

    • @ParkMetalDetecting
      @ParkMetalDetecting 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Don't be shy! Your plugs will be 100% cleaner! I've dug some pretty ugly simi plugs with my digging knife. If anyone gives you crap just do a quick 20-second demo 😅 Once you pop the compact, plug back in place, and step on it, you can't even tell you dug a hole!

    That's a nice digger, made me one similar out of a spade I bought from flea market, cut sides and length down cut serrations and welded a steel pipe on back side for handle to put a tilt on it. Its a tank for digging. Thanks for posting a video ready for this weather to move on to get back on the hunt.

    I purchased the Predator Phoenix. Very Handy! I can dig a real nice clean plug in no time. This shovel is a great tool. You won't regret buying one.

    The predator hand digger looks as great as the predator phoenix shovel I have, but I have not gotten the hand digger because I don't go for the deep targets usually, sometimes I need the point just to pop out stuff on the surface so I can't replace the lesche like digger completely, and I don't really want to carry two hand diggers with me, so for now I stick with my normal hand digger, but I live the idea of the curved blade

    That looks to be the one to have. I have the root slayer mini and I like it but it is just a little short. I hope your shoulder recovery is going well.

      You'll love the Phoenix. I love your videos! Yeah me and Bill "Dirtfishing" hunt quit a lot together. However last year I was too busy to hunt much. I made a vow to make up for lost time this year with Bill. I sold my Equinox 800 because I lost faith in it. I was on my second control head and was afraid to take it in the water. I had a few months on the warranty too. Plus I didn't like the feel of it. I just bought a Vanquish 540 and actually buying Bills Simplex for my river hunts. So I'll be covered better with 2 machines.

      @@mowerdog Thank you..I actually try to do my videos like Dirt Fishing..Were you show the metal detector up close then the hole up close..I been watching Bill's chanel for at least 10 years..I can't really comment on the Equinox since i've only used one for 20 minutes but i do see and here all the problems people have with them..Good luck with the simplex when you get it..

      Yes, that too. It's an all around great shovel. Now since my should has healed up some I don't use it in parks. I'm back to using the Predator 31

    I like the looks of that pyramid but isn’t it heavy to tote around? And you’re right, I wouldn’t use it in a park. I’ve used the Lesche 31 for years and haven’t had any complaints with it. I enjoy your channel, keep up the good work!

      No. If your already using the 31 in parks you can use the 24.

    How can you have 12,000 subscribers and have a video that only has 150 views?

    • @mowerdog
      @mowerdog  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've been wondering about this as well. Sometimes I think it's not even worth going through the time to continue to make videos? I wish I knew how some of these other guys have 100,000 subs with less quality content. I don't want to "plant" or fake all the great targets that some dig on every hole. We all know they are fake but they have a ton of views. I just don't know? But that you for watching my videos!!!
