Its wrong..in tamilnadu we already have 69% reservation. Now with EWS..another 10% grabbed from general quota. Consider a middle class OC community person who study well but not fall under EWS, he has to fight only within 21% quota which is open for the entire other community. Very bad for that kid.

The problem is with cut off mark. In most exams the cut off for EWS is lower than SC cutoff mark. So the people belonging to FC even if they got high or lower mark they will got job/College seat with EWS.But for other communities obc/sc/st only the highest rank among those people will only get seat/job.So it is social injustice.
EWS cut off is less but the age is same as per general category there is no change.
If EWS is injustice because of low cut off mark than other category, then till now ST cut off mark is lower than other category, will u say it is injustice.

Set income limit for all categories of reservation including for SC ST OBC MBC. Then only others will get chance to avail reservation benefits. Otherwise Dictors MLA and rich people children are getting admissions using reservation. Now it is 75yrs after independence. EWS is for economically weeker (60k per month) persons in OC only. If a persons in OBC earns same 60k per month, they will come under creamy layer and reservation won't applicable for them. That's why everyone is opposing EWS.

1) If you say ppl are still suffering and did not get get proper education etc, etc, then It directly means a failure of the system that was in place for 75 years. No use of continuing such a system

When constitution was made 75 years ago ppl was divided based on caste and ppl (irrespective of whether they had money) were not allowed to study, work etc based on the caste they belonged. hence ppl who wrote the constituin gave reservation based on caste. Totally for brahmins and blind brahmins believer kshatriyas (kings) shutrs should not even walk infront of them ) so after independence DR.B.R.AMBEDKAR have created constitution and says all are equal infront of law and gave set of articles from 14 to 32 which is based on equality so based on these this backward and scheduled caste people should come up to get equal with brahmins because here all are equal and all should get equal opportunity according to art 16 ITS NOT BASED ON ECONOMICAL STATUS but this EWS based on ECONOMICAL CONDITION OF GENERAL CATEGORY so this EWS is totally voilating basic structure of our indian constitution.... that's why among 5 judges 2 were given verdict against this EWS but remaining 3 judges didn't se this may be thier POONUL won't allow them to see this thing. May be my reply could help to understand your question. One of my friend cleared her tnpsc exam. She scored better percentage were she can select the vacancy from her quota or in general. In that case , she had chosen in general to make her quota available for others.
If ews implemented, obviously general seats will reduce and hence few portion of the quota people who choose use to general,have to take thier quota. Which in term affects some people.

From what I understand, EWS is not going to take away the existing reservation criteria of 69%. It is only an additional 10% that is allocated for OC (that includes sections of Hindus/Christians/Muslims who are economically backward). Moreover, for education privileges a person in the EWS category cannot avail privileges of other categories (ST/SC…) but a person from SC/ST can avail educational privileges (if they meet the cut off criteria) of the OC (EWS sector). I don’t find any injustice in this. Please correct me if I am wrong.
