This brought back good memories for me my dad was a custom gunsmith in Topeka Kansas USA for over 45 years I used to help him install new pads on gun stocks along with a lot of other work. I have been watching your channel for a long time you do a great job enjoy it very much keep up the great content.
Really enjoyed this video - it shows the difference between a master craftsman & and a beunhaas! Thanks for keeping me entertained whilst having a break.
A Beautiful job done !!! On a Beautiful Gun, John Moses Browning knew how to build fantastic Guns and you are a fantastic Craftsman !!! well done great video, thank 😊you !!!
Thanks Michael, Really appreciate your support :)
An interesting video, thanks. One thing that I see is that people have seen the obvious skill and craftsmanship that you apply to your work and are happy for you to then work on, what is often, their pride and joy. Not forgetting how much a shotgun can cost either. Great job!
A man for all seasons
Different but enjoyable as always. Cheers. Jim
That’s a very trusting mate to let anyone lose on their gun😊. Great video, multi skilled👍
I love your dexterity in your work as well as in your sport shooting.....Of course, otherwise I wouldn't be here talking nonsense
Always a pleasure! Thanks for being here VanZipper :D
I really enjoy your channel. You are very good at explaining.
Thanks David, Few random videos coming up then into the front door
Wot"s this? A tool review SHOOTOUT ? I had to take STOCK of the situation & the AIM of the video, was it to show off your new drill or fit the gizzmo 😅 After watching the vid, i had to bite the BULLET & admit i really enjoyed it & LOAD up this comment with as many puns that i could 😊
Love how you always pay close attention to the details. Excellent work as usual!
I use the "Soft Touch" system on mine. They insist on installing it themselves. It's on Beretta semi-auto single barrel. In the States we do what's called "sporting clays" which you basically go round 14 or so stations and shoot 4-6 on a golf cart. There is one nr. Allentown PA called Lehigh Sporting Clays. It's a diss-used quarry so you are shooting in between old buildings and also over water. It's the most fun you can have with your pants still on!
@@Geno70andstillkickingit You can say that again! Not sure they have in UK though?
Fascinating!
Nice job! 🙂
Thanks Bud, something a bit different
Every day's a school day. Had no idea the less dangerous end was so complex. Mind you, the last time I fired a gun it was well over 50 years ago and it was loaded with caps!
ahh, yes quite the important bit in competition, infact the hollow pointy bits are all the same but the wooden bit is very important!
At 7:50 you have a lovely 10mm routed slot, but when the camera comes back at 7:52 the slot is much deeper. Did you use the same router bit to make the hole deeper to accept the rods as they protrude under recoil? Excellent craftsmanship. I made an identical template, and it worked beautifully. I made a second template to go deeper into the stock. Thank you for the video
Think i just kept going deeper with the same router bit tbh! i have a few of them different length cut.
Thank you for the info! @@BradshawJoinery
Faff aside, that was an interesting vid. And you get to re-use some of those clays! 😂
Prefer with a pistol grip and shorter barrels, and always gets me to the front of the queue at the post office
Haha 😅😅😅
Most of the people I know saw off their shotguns from the other end. 😀
Is there nothing you can’t turn your hand to? So interesting 🌞
Well that was different 😊 did the recoil unit make up for the loss of balance weights
Yes, generally i think there is a struggle to keep the weight down in them, hence made from plastic to help with that, can still weight the gun if needed as there is room in the stock bolt hole for some weights
Recoil system by isis? A bit controversial 😮😅
I can't imagine this video performing well. Mentioning guns and Isis 🤣
Do you do barrel shortening as well ?.
Did you add any weights back into the gunstock?
Nice upgrade. Was that shooting footage from a previous EO or British Open? I was trying to work out where you were shooting.
the first clip is hodnet I'm fairly sure.
How do you find time for that 😮
I don't have a life haha
@@BradshawJoinery what was your new little drill
It's a CXS, it was on offer as they have brought out some new versions. The old one is great though and @£160 really cheap. I've never seen them that price
@@BradshawJoinery were was it from if you don't I'm trying to find some batteries 8ah
Nuts and bolts, I dont think it is available anymore. I've bought the 8ah set too and will do a video on them. The charger with them is great!
Don't play cowboys with me😂
Haha, Do you want to be the cowboy?
👊🫡
It better be a Forrest blade-
