Making a Simple Leather Card Wallet (Free Pattern!)
In this episode of our free pattern series sponsored by Weaver Leather, we're making the very popular credit card bifold wallet. This leather wallet design is interesting because it holds almost as much as a traditional bifold leather wallet, but has no bill slot. It's a bit more suite for those who carry cards with the occasional cash, as the cash is simply folded in two and placed in the middle pockets under the cards.
The fun thing about this free leather wallet pattern is that it is fairly modular - you can choose to place extra card slots on the outside of the wallet, either side or both, and you can also choose to go without. You can use a thicker leather to make a very durable, hardy feeling wallet as the whole pattern is only 3 layers thick, or you can use thin leather with lining to make a more refined, luxury piece. However you decide to make it, this free leather wallet pattern is a fun and fairly simple project that will result in a beautiful piece of leather work!

Thank you for your videos. I am not a leather artist but wished I had picked it up in the 70s when first introduced to it. Ah...well. Anyways I am a visual artist that works in acrylic paints and saw you use your awl to put the dye on the edges of the leather and thought that was brilliant. I tried it last night with a 1/4" wooden sign I am making. I used my awl and some gold paint to do the edges...fricking awesome results. It is sooooooooooooooooooo much easier than trying to paint a straight line on the edge! Thank you. Thanks for the videos. Cheers and happy holidays to you, your family and your extended social network of followers and supporters.
