Sorry to cause any concern there ToM, it was a mostly unintended break. So safe to say im happy to finally be back, thank you for your support and even more so patience!! 🙏
This is great, still works. Was ale to build a nice foundation with a medium sized Tudor house into a cliffside then wrap a stone foundation around that connecting it to a villa for gardning and such. Absolutely gorgeous now. Thank you instant sub! Edit: btw i wasnt able to really use your method since yu cant realy see what you did. So what i did is make 3 foundation on flat ground 2 high in a straight line. Then i deleted the middle one. I just started playing with corners using a portal for refrence (since it makes a stone foundation when lifted up, tho its smaller. It took about 35 min of deleting and re ppl lacing but i finally got it. I couldnt do it usng just one foundation tall since you cant sink foundation, you can only raise them so i made em 2 high then would raise up the new build limit foundation with R+scrollwheel.
Honestly, they should just give us a bigger cap rather than make us go through stuff like this. All I wanted was to put a 3nd floor on my base with a balcony but I couldn't even put a roof over the 2nd floor due to building cap.
Well at least now hopefully you could rig a fresh roof up with a new foundation on your build using these methods, but i agree it'll be nice to see these caps increase and the building system get updates along the way here!

The building cap doesn't hurt me as much as the item (furniture) cap. Is there a way to get around this? As soon as I'm done making my cresting and storage area, I'm about at my item cap limit. There is no way to get all the crafting benches, augments, and storage in the same realm as a furnished home.
when you open the building editor (like to move objects or remove them) and it shows the item limits (350) is that limit for the entire realm? or per person? im trying to build on my husbands realm but it constantly sits at 200+ no matter where i go
Hey anchorless, sorry for the late reply here, yes that goes for the entire realm, its not player based sadly. So any augments/crafting stations/light sources either you or your husband place will count towards that cap. But sadly so will the ones from around your realm, so you will want to go around and break down any chests or beds you can find at the premade buildings to lower that count :)
So... How much stress do these mega build take on servers. There is, shared among all gamers. These things have a tendends to spread. I think there most be a reason there is made a cap or limit for build sizes. I hope it not end in more LAG on shared servers.
Hey Bert, its something i've thought about here - Yes builds on a massive scale could potentially cause lag, especially if thousands of players are spending time in bases that are 10,000 tiles or more, but this matters about how things are handled on the server end, and how much is related to your PC. Which sadly i do not know about, but i'd say the likelihood of thousands of players getting to this point of building is relatively low, and if it does ever become a major issue for servers, there will always be the upcoming single player mode. So i don't think its a cause for concern at this point! :D
@@shawns4354 No and then in is the problem that causes many people to not be able to build what they want. Take that with the fact that many times the number you so for X/350 is already at 350 on the X side when it says your only at says 285/350. You go to place another item and it is red, no more spots available.
It exists because of server space. Once the game is optimized we will see increases but it will never be fully limitless as it would crash a server every time a person realizes there no limit then tries to build 1 million pet doggs
Oh my god, thank you sooo much for this video. we were all really worried about you. it's so good to see, that you are alive, Tene 💛 welcome back 🙂

The building cap is garbage. What's up with the new round of survival craft games doing this? Pal, Enshrouded and now Nightingale...ugh
They also rather implied in their game trailers that we could build big, but that's not the case currently
Hey tenebris its glad that you are back
Thank you kindly my dude! 🙏

Sadly not so far in the game, if there is ever a method though i will be sure to share it with you all 💪

This was amazing! Thank you so much 😁

They say private servers will come later
the relm caps destroy the current building system sadly. no point in building something so large when you cant decorate it
I wonder, since it's a seperate structure, does that allow for an additional 350 items?
nope that is a relm wide limit.@@shawns4354

I really hate the build limit, just remove it
I think the dev team is looking into ways to expand it here in the game... just might take a few updates to get there first :)
