I like the color scheme. I like yellow, gray, black and white together.
Thanks...I'm liking it too.
I've had an angle ruler for over 20 years. I can't quilt without it. Thanks for the tutorial. Cutting the triangles with one dog ear gone will make things easier than ever. Many thanks
You are so welcome!
Thank you for sharing. I’m new to your channel you popped up on my TH-cam and I started watching you and can’t stop Lol. I’m a ex truck driver and I was always in Cedar Rapids,Iowa. I pray you’re having a blessed week God bless you and your family.
I get to Cedar Rapids regularly as my son lives that way!
Great use of scraps. Have missed seeing tutorials from you.
WOW but I believe I may like that 📐!!! Love watching and learning a better way to accomplish things. At 82 years young I am still a novice but happy quilter!
You can do it!
Love your positive energy. I find it helpful to watch you "just sew it together" without overthinking the placement. Thank you for doing these videos. I find it hard just to comment. Remember there is no Right way only Your way!!!
Thank you so much!
Your videos are excellent. Your sew with Jo are FANTASTIC. I love that you speak about quilting and share your sewing with us. Love your practical nature.
What a nice compliment. Thanks!
Thanks for showing the angle ruler. I have had one for awhile but have not used it yet, now I will will.❤
You are so welcome!
I love this quilt. The golden yellow, black and dark gray together is just stunning. And that ruler really makes the process so much quicker. Thanks for sharing, Jo.
Glad you are loving it!!
Very clever way to iron and snip off the little corners! I tend to suffer over the placement of my blocks - your method results in a wonderful quilt. You are a great role model for me!
thanks so much!!
Love the new way on half square triangle
It makes using your scraps so easy.
Thank you for all info on easy angle ruler. Have had mine for several years and Now will start using it always and not draw lines. Your instructions were great1
Glad it was helpful!
Okay, that ruler has officially graduated from the wishlist to the cart lol
I love it so MUCH!!
I have that ruler and have never used it, so I so appreciate you taking the time and showing how to use it! You make it look so easy! Thanks Jo for sharing your time and your tips with us!
Glad it was helpful! That ruler is a staple with me!!

You are so welcome!
Thank you. Loved the video. You make everything look so achievable and are so organised. Very inspiring. 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
I just ordered the ruler the other day! This video was meant for me to watch. I really like this look of your hst
Yay! Thank you!
How you get so much done is truly inspirational! Love that you are sharing your "short cuts"! Putting that ruler on my Christmas list!! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Yes, I've ordered the ruler and really appreciate you demonstrating your techniques. I've also subscribed to your channel!
Give yourself compliments, you are much better than I am at quilting. I think those colors are awesome together, but that's me! Where do you get your scraps fabrics?
I get scraps from the thrift store. I keep leftovers from my own projects. Blog readers who don't like scraps send me their scraps as well.
Beautiful love the yellow and black together.
I am really liking it too!!
Thank you for this informative video!
Glad it was helpful!
I just stumbled on to your channel today. So glad I did! I'm a born and bred Iowa gal and Hawkeye fan who has been "away" in CA for nearly 33 years. Jobs brought us here in 1990 and we're staying. No winter here, and now we're both too old to deal with Iowa winters. 😀 I took up quilting when I retired 11 years ago and love it. I'm happy to add your channel to my list of subscriptions. Happy holidays, and GO HAWKS! (What the heck happened to them Friday???? 🤔😮
Iowa is a great place...minus the winters. I have no idea what happened to them!
This is how I make my HSTs. Easier process for scrap quilts.
I think it's easier too!
I need to look at the rulers I got.from.my mom to see if any of them might work for this method. I dont like drawing lines on my fabric, either. But, like you, I'm rather frugal, and would rather make what I already have work to make what I want to make. I can't see buying a bunch of new rulers, even if they make a cutting job easier.
I have one too… my was born on august of 1956…
love it!
Love how you explain everything and so easy to understand. I really want to buy that ruler. Where can I get one please and th

I have the old scrap master from Judy I can’t find any videos on it
I haven’t ever made hst that way but I will now. Interested in how you put your rows together and press them.
The truth is I am not a presser. I don't press the rows until the entire quilt is completely finished. I know, it's not normal at all. If I were someone who was a presser, I would press each row the opposite direction.
Oh my I love your ruler!! Have not seen that made this way. So much faster and easier. I am going to buy the ruler immediately. Love your videos so many neat tricks. Your a great teacher. Love so many of your ways!!!
Are you self taught? Never seen how you cut 1/2” nor the way you iron them. Great tips, thanks.
YES...I'm totally self taught and happily, it works!
Isn’t that the ruler Bonnie Hunter designed? Have seen her use it also.
She designed the Essential Ruler. It can do the same thing.
how do you know the benefit attendees aren't cyclone's fans instead of Hawkeyes? (Just curious.)
HA!! I live in a town of 250 people...I see several people in town who I know attend the benefit fly Iowa flags on game day. I'm guessing someone will be happy to pay money for it.
@@JosCountryJunction how do they choose Hawkeyes over cyclones? (We only have University of Maryland, no Maryland State to create the conflict.) just curious… my husband watches football & apparently soccer to watch not because he is a fan of any one team.

Thanks for the comment~
