- Hello and welcome to my TH-cam channel. I'm so glad you could join me. Today I'm making a handprint quilt that I made and donated to my grandson's school. I made two different versions.
You can find the paint we used by following this link: amzn.to/42isMAt

Fun video and what a great project! It's nice to know that I am not the only one who makes deals with myself. "If I do this, I can do that..." sort of thing. Sometimes I think that is the only way I ever get anything done! LOL
So true! I'm the same way. Right now it's finish my taxes so I can have extra time to stitch!!
Love the sew with Jo program 😃. I watch you without makeup in my jammies sometimes, No one cares about that. It is the sewing content that is important. You have inspired me to get out my Bonnie Hunter quilts in progress from storage and work on them. Currently working on Tulip Time. I am making 100 blocks. Did 12 each day while watching you. Thanks very much
I love to hear this!! It's so fun to have some to sew with!!
Thanks for taking us along. We had a Commander and DJ for dogs. Now we have Lady and Poeg (like poeg o stick) for cats
Fun names!!
What a pleasant surprise to find your video, thank you! I have always loved Ruby for a dogs name.
Mine too! I have a Ruby. She was a beagle!!
I enjoyed crocheting while you sew! I think these quilts are a great idea. We did a quilt at church and the kids handprints were heart shapes. Names for girl dogs--Trixie, Daisy, Dot.
I love those. I'm holding out on using Daisy in case I get another dog someday.
Was so excited to see a new Sew with Jo. Loved the natural look tonight. Who gets dressed up and puts on makeup to sew?? Not me! The kid’s quilts turned out so cute! Thanks for sharing with us. I got some hand binding done while watching you. Working on the 2nd king size quilt for this year. I’m ready to be done with it.
That's a lot of hand binding!!
My Shih Shu boys were named Mark Anthony Clemens(Mac) and Mitchell Indego Clemens (Mic). They were both black n white. I now have two tuxedo cats ( black n white) who are named Bob and Steve. I like common people names for my pets.
Sew enjoyed. I love makeup free days. 😁. May a bunch of money be raised. Thanks for sharing
I hope so too!
I made 5 of these for are Art Camp at church. I think we had over 100 kids not counting the teachers and helpers. We made one quilt kites using their handprints, octopus, fish, umbrellas and flip flops with a groups feet. They turned out so cute! I had two classes in the early evening having whoever could help paint the eyes, umbrella shape, and adding anything the kids wanted to add to it. It’s a cute treasure.
My childcare kiddos made me one like that. It's a treasure!!
Jo thanks for sharing love the quilt I hope you do more videos
Thank you, I will
Hi Jo. I worked on a knitting project as you sewed. I am a member of a group that knits and crochets for several charities and hospitals in our county. I love the quilt and I am sure the children will be thrilled to see their handprints front and center. As for dog names, we had a beagle named Hardy so if you had two boys you could use Laurel and Hardy! P.S. We loved that dog so much; beagles are just so wonderful but not for the faint of heart as you know. There are fun names from foods; peanut, snickers, Chipper, Candy, Mocha....hope that helps.
I love candy names!!

Just curious- when the puppies are taken from a puppy mill, do they shut down the mill or are those people allowed to continue breeding dogs?
Sadly we are only a rescue group. We just get the puppies. We have no authority or ability to close anyone down. I sure wish we did. Iowa is one of the worst states for puppy mills.
omg i just went and looked at flosstube
