Glad you got early early access to show. I left some thoughts in the episode 5 comments but you've learned one of them, that you have to upgrade the extractors individually.
One thing I missed mentioning is you should notice how much power ore scanning uses and so not to scan at night or dusk, you wiped out your reserves due to scanning quite a few times from over scanning after sundown.
I'm very much aware of the power usage of the scanner. It was more important to scan than keep the factory running at night... needed to find more rescources

I wonder if you can create drop-off zones for rocks in the middle of the mining areas and then have the drones bring it there. From there it could go by belt to the stone maker. Could reduce travel time. Just found out that the game will also be available on mac. Can't wait to play it.
Yeah, you can put a raw materials storage, but the main cost is the conveyor belts, which are super expensive.
You can build more temporary regooith bulk storage closer to the dig sites, and then belt it back to the permanent storage so the mining drones don’t spend so much time traveling back and forth.
Yep, but we are often short of money.

I was glad to hear they are working on QOL features and communicating with you. Hope they stick with it and keep polishing the game for a long time :)
It looks like it has a lot of promise.
Their discord is VERY active, both with players and devs reporting issues and discussing. They seem to be a really stellar dev team
I Think with the conveyor elevators you need to add and configure storage to the outputs and those determine the outputs rather than setting the outputs on the elevator itself. (not 100% sure since I've not played it since the last public demo.)

I do, but not sure what to do with them.
@@KatherineOfSky You go to locations on the surface, do something for them and in return get science for x number of days. Others you get free resources but have to get them. It's a big part of the game loop (in my opinion)

Possibly. It's really a huge game, so i like to have a partner for that. Otherwise it feels overwhelming, especially with the huge amount of materials needed at endgame. Someone in my discord was halfway through the game and said he need 80 hours to finish...
@@KatherineOfSky is that 80 hours of just waiting? You could probably build another factory in that time to speed it up.
But they have said those quantities were going to be adjusted with 1.0. they set them artificially high as an end game goal, and since we are getting the real end game with 1.0, they will bring them down.
Having said that, they are being replaced with something. I'm just excited for all the new parts and buildings. And biomass burners with belt inputs WOOT.
@@marcbennett9232 80 hours of building and some waiting, I think, Im glad they are adjusting the quantities down because it just seemed unnecessarily grindy, especially for solo play. Biomass with belts??? OMG, finally!
Hopefully I can find someone to play with... that always makes the game better!
@@KatherineOfSky yeah they had a teaser with biomass burners with belt inputs. yeah I think the grind on that last tier was intentional as like a temporary end game thing untill the real end game hits. I hope you can find someone! personally, I couldnt imagine someone messing with my factories lol.

According to the devs, around $25-$30/EUR
I think you may have forgotten to update before playing this. Your version number at the start was still 91.13 which was the regular beta version. I saw a different uploaded today where the version was 92.05, so you were probably not playing the *new* version like you thought. This is probably why you couldn't find any filters on the elevators and such.
Nope, I definitely updated it. And you will see the filters on the elevators when I add conveyors in teh next episode.

How is this game different than other game? How does this game differentiate itself from other games in this genre? The game is selling for $28 and I want to make sure there is a great story and adventure.
I am not playing the campaign in this series, so no story. I don't care for stories in games: I'm here for the factory building

Im waiting to see what mid game looks like , so far it lacks depth , especially with science building removed , obviously thats just my taste , not Condemnation off the game

@@KatherineOfSky oh Colonists , that explains a lot there is some mid/ end mechanic , still think removing science Manufacturing was a mistake, but we will see
Please............ If you look at your diggers behavior, you'll see that they are all over the place, because you gave them a massive digging order. They litteraly use more time on moving from one side to the other, than on digging. 😉✌
That's not under my control. You saw me make the digging orders, which are long tunnels that I smoothly moved my mouse over.

Yes, I have watched the whole video. My comment was based on the fact that I'm also in the content creator program, and the embargo was the 10th, not the 9th, hence the comment.
Turns out, as KoS replied before, that her deal was apparently different to mine.
Uhh, I am 11 minutes into this video and I have absolutely no idea what the game is about, what the goals are or why I should have this on my radar. There was no introduction, no explanation about what you are doing or what choices you are making. Just lots of dithering about key bindings and "Go Away!" exclamations at the pop-ups as you dismiss them without reading.
I am sorry but this is a very poor teaser video for a new game.

@ShinTzaddi You are right, I should have explained more. However, I figured that people watching this will have seen my play of the game either a few days ago, or a year ago when I did the early acess playthrough. It should be pretty obvius that this is a factory game, and it says so on steam.
