I was doing ok thinking how neat playing Virtual Boy games in a VR environment would be... Then my mind split into millions of pieces when you fired up Duck Hunt in VR. Grabbing the zapper control then shattered those pieces into mind dust. Beautiful, beautiful mind dust. I was already wanting a Quest 2 now that want has become a need.
Agreed - that would've been the perfect device for it. And Virtual Boy Wario Land would've sat nicely on the 3DS homescreen next to Wario Land 1-3 for Game Boy on the Virtual Console
hey john riggs, I'm curious to know where you got those pictures at? the ones hanging on your wall behind you. for example the Star Tropics and Final Fantasy ones. i know you've talked about it in a previous video, but I can't find the video. maybe send me a link. thank you and a good day
Yes I have been doing this on my Quest 2. The major problem with this emulator is the oculus controllers. Because they have analog sticks it makes for eight directional movement difficult.
Thanks for the tutorial! It really does look easy. Though I guess I need a microUSB to USB-C cable because I have an old Android phone. I also still have to figure out the best way to stream from this thing like you do; we got it to stream to Chromecast, but using a capture card with that seems like a hassle. Anyway, I'm so glad you started this channel and I'm looking forward to doing more things with our Quest 2!
The emulator was previously taken down before being brought back. Before it was taken down, the lighting was normal. But after it was re-uploaded, I did notice that everything was darker...I'm assuming that's a development issue.
Why did I just find out about this channel of yours? I love VR. Virtual Boy is not VR, but you got around that by playing it on a quest. Fair enough, I'll allow it!
@@AMPProf I am surprised by the number of kids who still think Virtual Boy is VR. Probably because Nintendo still claims it is via the Labo VR in game video. VR needs more that weak 3D. Head tracking is pretty dang essential for VR. You are supposed to feel like you are there.
@wdmasterluke403 there is a separate image for each eye though. That's how the 3D works, each eye must see something different. The PSVR only has one screen. Like the 3DS, there are tools to use that one screen to show eye a separate image. 3D alone though, does not make VR. The Switch can do VR, that is single screen.
Plug it in your pc. There should be a notification for you to click on to allow your pc to view your files. There should be a folder called ROMS put the roms in that folder. If there is a vb folder in that folder put the roms in the vb roms in that folder
@@THEOFFICIALRCP Totally forgot that I wrote that, although I did solve the issue shortly after. I appreciate you trying to help out tho, it's very nice to see people helping out others...even if it's been a year(s) since the comment.was posted. I hope you have a great day 👍

Missed opportunity adding them to Virtual Console on the 3DS, in 3D.

You know what would be even better? Playing colorized versions of them! I would love that!
Someone should colorize warioland

That’s just awesome! Favorite game? Of course Wario Land!
I love your videos sir.
This looks amazing in the quest 3, but it's way too dark and I don't see any options to adjust the brightness. Thanks if anyone can help! :)
I can’t find the developer mode on oculus site yet I have signed up. Any help? No link provided as indicated in video
Would this work on a Rift S?
I followed these steps using a computer rather than a phone and when ever I try to load a rom on the virtual boy go app it crashes
If they made the color palette like red and blue like the other emulators, it would be realistic
With VirtualBoyGo, did you happen to have issues with the game(s) being too dark? Do you know if there is a way to fix that?
I'm having the same issue. The games are WAY too dark

Where do you get ur roms from?
i had the orginal virtual boy it hurt my eyes and gave me a headache
1:55 I lost my liver because of that 😡

@Poefred Dude. What do you think VR is? Just 3D? The 3DS isn't VR, but it has more features of VR than the Virtual Boy.

Downvoted because you outright neglected to show virtual boy emulator gameplay.
