Subaru staying true to their roots. I like how the screen is integrated into the dash and the interior feels a bit premium.
i loved it so much after my initial test drive i ended up selling my jeep and bought it i have not regretted my purchase so far
Was hoping they would have put the 2.4-liter turbo engine in the Crosstrek. Well, maybe next year.
great car - i picked one up (wilderness) about 3 weeks ago, it can go just about anywhere. very solid vehicle.
9.3 in the car you’re in!!!
Always been a fan of the CrossTrek. Thank goodness they are staying true to it
Rear seat vents and heated seats as an option, should be considered by Subaru
The rear cargo tray is really handy--it comes w some packages.
Our family has a 2017 Xtrek still going strong; the new 2024 Xtrek Sport, (rear-ended and totaled 6 weeks after purchase on LA fwy. IDK how someone can't see those prominent taillights. Nanny in a Jetta said "I just wasn't paying attention". That driver severely injured. Our Xtrek front pushed into vehicle in front; {skidded, despite auto braking and manually braking] smashed in due to force of impact. Cars were at a stop for an accident. Our airbags did not deploy,. Our driver miraculously okay. Thanks Subaru. Inadvertent crash test for all of you.)
I have a 2024 Xtrek Wilderness coming in.
I lost count of how many aliens I've run over, driving around corners too fast at night
Happens to the best of us 👽
paid in full around 32k after taxes with some accessories for crosstrek sport, 500 miles so far really like the car!
great review btw.
Amazing review bro.
Happy thanksgiving, Gold Pony😀
Thanks you too! 🦃
WOW, look how it took that corner, AMAZING 17:05
Never be able to do that without truck tires on a lifted subcompact car
Insane new Subaru Crosstrek I want to buy.
All Subaru needs to do is put the WRX motor and a manual option, it’s guaranteed to be their best seller
It already is.
Call it a Crosstrek STi AWD with turbo detuned to 250HP and it will outsell everything in the compact SUV segment.
How do you find owning the model in Black? Is it more difficult to keep clean or does it get hot in the summer?
Good review, thank you!
Happy thanksgiving, Gold Pony!
Thanks you too! 😁
I’m considering the Corolla cross vs crosstrek sport. For reasons I can’t quite explain, I’m leaning more toward the Corolla. Is the crosstrek the clear winner in your opinion? Saw your review of the Corolla, bit concerned about cabin noise +/- slowness (but I’m no speed demon so would I even notice?!).
Personally I would go with the Subaru Crosstrek. It has a better all-wheel drive system a more proven track record because it's been in production longer, And you're actually able to find Subaru crosstrek's at or near MSRP. I've seen base model Corolla crosses that are supposed to be around 25k well above 30. 😅 So much for being an affordable crossover. But the Subaru Crosstrek would offer you more options. More proven track record, better handling, Plus Subaru does have pretty good service. Also, by the way, as long as you get the transmission, fluid changes and other stuff done at the dealership done through Subaru, it does not void the warranty. Make sure you have the dealership do that in writing. And make sure they agree with it. Plus they have a better Anti-Rust system even though you should still get a coating under your car, it's like 150 bucks every winner if you live in a horrible area like the North East where I live.
I'm no speed demon either but I do notice when a car is just slow to start. I'm not One of those people who needs it to go to 0 to 60 and 2 seconds. Because why. But you do notice if the car is slower and not really built well. Thought for the engine comparison to everything else about the car. Subaru crosstreks are their own category. While The Toyota Corolla cross is more of a cheap crossover attempt for Toyota to make money while their dealerships upmark them insanely high. I honestly wouldn't even give Toyota the time of day on that. Less in your area. You can find it for the relative price. They both have CVTs. That's a very good CVTs well proven. Subaru just has that all-wheel drive system. And both engines are very good. Make sure on your Subaru you change your oil. Is normal for every car but it's especially needed for a boxer engine.
Thanks for the review.
However, everything that makes a Wilderness edition special was completely glossed over.
Are you doing an Off-Road review of this Crosstrek Wilderness?
This trim level really stands out in it's class as an Off-Road/Overlanding vehicle;
with it's 9.3" of ground clearance, two levels of "X Modes" for better wheel-spin control, assisted descent control, and an upgraded transmition with its own dedicated cooler to aid its 3,500 lb towing capacity.
Would be a great "Part 2" to this review.
Cheers!
I wish the back was more squared off like the Golf and not sloped down
My dream car
Great Review
Thanks!
Looks great in black!
Agreed! 💯
First year for the CT Wilderness and the first year with no 6 speed manual 😢
Wilderness model has 9.3 inches clearance.
The forward facing cameras mounted behing the rearview mirror are very intrusive to sight lines outward and upward.
Great review, but I have no love at all for these vehicles!!
Or you could use X-Mode when you're going downhill in the snow and have Hill Descent take over. 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Needs a turbo so badly !!! Everyone has one but Subaru Crosstrek 😢
9.3in of clearance on the wilderness
Thats right subarus roots are rally cars.
Nice car but needs a trailer hitch to be a true Wilderness.
You don't want to tow too much with any CVT equipped vehicle...
محتجينها تنزل مصر ❤❤❤
it is not an s u. v.
I believe that has submitted its membership paperwork be one!
It just has so much plastic cladding
So does the Kona and CX30 it’s getting out of control
The black hides it pretty good but I agree, it's atrocious. Manufacturers are like apes, just copying whatever the other guys are doing, cos I guess it must work...
To be honest I don't mind it. I just wish they wouldn't inflate the price of their cars. And it's always weird because stuff that you think should be standard isn't. It just feels like they don't put that stuff on their base level just to make you pay the extra 3 Grand. Which I think is ridiculous. The only company that doesn't really do that is Hyundai and Kia. But even then I don't know. Or the start stop feature that absolutely no one uses. Just a waste of money to add $500 or so dollars onto the price. Honestly you can just take that out. And My friend Hannah had an issue getting to work the one morning because her start stop feature shorted out in her Jeep and the car would start stop over and over again. Just burning the engine. Of course Jeep did not care cuz it's a crappy car company. But still.
@@michaels999you might agree with me, but the Kona is kind of ugly. Like I don't say most cars are ugly like some people do but that car genuinely gives me the ick.
Hell no on digital gauges.
0-60 in 8 seconds!!! Horrible
