  • Every Tourism Districts Needs THIS to Be Successful! | Verde Beach 125
Of all of the problems people thought Las Verdes would face, few had a significant housing shortage on their bingo card. But there are now SIGNIFICANTLY more jobs than people in the city. This has made it impossible for the new casinos to find employees and has halted expansion plans. The Casino Operators want to resolve this and have developed plans to build housing EVERYWHERE in Las Verdes. However, they aren’t going to request just housing… they want tourism amenities, too, and won’t build housing without approvals for those as well.
In this episode, we’ll add THOUSANDS to the population while also building the “requested” new tourism amenities. And by the end, nearly every nook and cranny of Las Verdes will be developed.

For the cable car access, if you elevate the middle pillar by two full elevation steps (24m) you get a neat tower without an ugly raised concrete foundation, and it would give the people on the cars a really spectacular view en-route to the tower itself.

Fun fact: the Grand Mall is modeled on a building in Sydney, Aus. The building was designed with the large hole, and lower rear height, to provide solar access to a public library and public square to its south in winter. The building is called Infinity and was designed by Koichi Takada architects. It's located in an area of urban regeneration called Green Square.

Is there opportunity for other hillside neighborhoods that may have been zoned prior to the national park being established? Late to the party I know but convention centers in the casino area makes perfect sense (spent 10 years working worldwide in conventions). You need a lot of hotel rooms nearby as well as some easily accessible touristic areas where you know the visitors are going to spend their money. And except in "casino cities" (ie Macao and Las Vegas where the hotels are really huge and have built in big convention centers), big convention centers are usually not in the city center

For the city tour I think you should do a nice transition with the geometric shapes and have before the all the housing and other stuff that you put in geometric shapes and have lines in between each shape, then you put it together all in one and then you show the upgraded city sorry if it sounds too complicated

The gardens are actually fitting as they were popular around such castles to begin with, especially those built for more aesthetic, political purposes over the older, more traditional plain castles...

The observation deck is definitely not taller than that skyscraper in the downtown, but the antenna atop the tower looks to put it higher.

I noted that the Castle of "Lord Chirpwick" is clearly based off of Castle Neuschwanstein in Bavaria. They've done a few changes but if you google it, you'll see the resemblance is there.
It's a lovely castle, so I'm not against it.

I love this, looks amazing! Its a place I would like to vissit in real life..
But one thing is I think the road at the tunnel should go upward inside the tunnel not before the entrance, that would look more normal to me.

I was thinking that the building that caught fire has poor service connections, but now I think the new pedestrian roads you added should solve that.

@20:05 Usually height of buildings are measured from their base to their top. So if a building is elevated or not, that doesnt change its height. So inherently, this is not the tallest

@CityPlannerPlays Have you ever considered doing an "Editor Phil" video where you show off how you actually go about recording and editing all your videos? Things like how you handle your transitions, how you do your seamless before/after shots, where you get your video assets, your workflow and thought process, etc.

great episode as always. thanks for your hard work. would it be possible to move chirpwick castle to the end of the historical market? that would make for a great view corridor for everyone walking down that street. and you can hide any terrain deformation with the addition of large rocks to the back

Dear City Counsil of Verde Beach,
When the plans for Las Verde were presented, lowering taxes was one of the bullet points that we got really exited about. Now that the builds are up, when can we expect taxes lowered and can we get a deposit in the meantime?
    xoxoxo,
