Great video, as always :)
i think you need to work on the fence on the tram line if you want people to use the bridges . .
Biffa the first overpass is still blocked by a fence
do you also have an asset collection? for example the parking lots you use
I wanted to ask you and your Discord a few Skylines questions/suggestions. Having joined it I don't seem to find a place i can post as a non-member. not even a Skylines-general
"I was thinking about the botanical garden, let's just clear out some of these trees" government logic for sure!
😋
xD
I was about to comment that XD
@@Simmlex - me too, just grabbed the timestamp: 15:35
"Let's leave some space for a train station" - build a major road all along the train tracks ;-)
Yup, was thinking about that right as he was putting the finishing touches with a walking path for the tram... "hey wasn't the train going to go through?" but he's quite a ways off from unlocking trains unless he starts piling in high density housing.
If Biffa ever became a mayor
Breaking news: world wide shortage of rocks!
😂
LUL Normally cities use the same rocks they dig up while making the city. That'd never be enough for Biffa.
Additional news: Tea becomes a more popular beverage than water
@@ishandey6061 That's just undisputed fact anyway.
Since Biffa likes to add rocks so much maybe we should have a nature reserve in Teaport just for bouldering!
There should be a rule - no more Rocks for Biffa until he unlocks and builds up the Ore industry.
@@FHL-Devils yes! Biffa: "Challenge accepted"
Biffa: Wants to leave room for a train station.
Also Biffa: Builds right up against the train tracks...
Look it’s biffa what’d ya expect

Woa! What uncalled for hatefulness! o_0
I was merely making a joke...
I want a small "Sip'a'tea Park" where people can go to, sit down and relax with a sip of tea.
It should have a sister park across town called Awe-Toe Save Park
With an oriental corner for the tea ceremonies.
@@hanabanana8127 Playing of your idea, Awe-Toe Save Medical Center sounds more realistic
Great video Biffa, but fyi at 25:12 where you added the footpath you didnt give access over the other adjacent road (south side of tracks) so pedestrians still have to take the long route round if they want to reach the tourist attractions.
Came to say the same thing - they’ll want a path from the crossing to the attractions.
Might also be worth putting an intercity bus station in the neighbourhood too for more tourists
Literally about to say the same thing...... Oh biffa
Those poor Sims. Biffa encourages walking so much he makes them walk a bit further.
@@wta1518 It's a lot more than 20 ft for the ones from the middle stop. Cims don't cut across grass like humans. If there's no path, they can't walk it.
Bit concerned about the high voltage wires crossing the pedestrian bridges - I’ll have to find my glasses but I think Cim’s will be fine if they hurdle or limbo.......
Duck!
Biffa Plays Indie Games lol, I see your duck & raise you a swan 🤪
WorldTravel1518 - damn, trumped by a bird of prey ☹️

24:27 I would not use that bridge. Everyone who does gets electrocuted by the power line going above the bridge. 😲
I'm glad I wasn't the only one to notice
Had to come and comment right away when noticed electrocuTEA bridge :D
Oh yeah, Shock Bridge. I call it that because if you walk across the bridge, and you touch the wire, *YOU DIE!*
Came here to see if anyone else noticed that lol
Ordeal by 750V on the tram lines, then ordeal by 25,000V on the train wires (unless the region uses different standards)
biffa at 15:14 saying "fits in quiet well "
me : litrally screaming "those parking spaces are just on a steep hill at the most right
9:48 "As Keralis would say, no regrets!"
haha indeed he would, alwasy nice to see people shouting out other amazing creators :D
He would also say, "Lookie lookie at my cookie" when he finished something he was proud of! I miss that; I should check in on his channel again.
@@asenseofyarning5614 haha that's basically his entire slogan during this seasons Hermitcraft. So if you also like building in MC, his personality is always there!
Thanks to Keralis I found Cities and through Cities I found Biffa, so for me hearing Biffa mention Keralis is like coming full circle :D
I didn’t know Biffa was so down with the kids and all that
24:59 the tram power lines now go over the bridge.
Cleaning out trees to fit a botanical garden. I love it.
The festival area could be called something like "Par-Tea Zone"
25:48 that bridge connecting to the crosswalk on the bottom of the screen has a fence blocking it
Tourism = Traffic. Guys, I think this is not Biffa.
The real Biffa would put a park and maximize the ticket price. Not a tourist area!
Tourism... Traffic.. both have T at the start
nt = not true
24:58 Might also make a gap in the fens ;)
No elevated tram stop in the workshop ?
Could also put the train up high later on so for better access underneath both.
At the water side you could add a path under the tram & train bridge !
good job you put those fences around those rocks, otherwise they might escape!
While I do love Cities: Skylines, I honestly think the best part of Biffa's content is just listening to him talk
Inspirational. This series has dragged me back for another couple of hundred hours. Thanks. Not a hardcore player but I do enjoy the game sporadically.
I prefer watching biffa building tea related cities over playing myself🙊
To be honest Biffa, your videos are very relaxing for me. I'm watching when I have anxiety or while eating during those times; while I'm still under quarantine for months in my country, missing any face to face interactions.
Watching you talk while fixing roads and arranging the city is so satisfying. Thanks from Oman ❤️
I actually LOVE the editing with the funky music whilst showing off the thing you just did, great video!!
It's interesting to see how nuanced differences in city planning can be. I would have placed the opera house slightly more upwards the river to not upset the beach/shore corner. I mean, if we're talking tourism.
Loving Teaport so far! One suggestion though... Instead of the tram bypass/bridge over the highway for the green line, just add a small section of tram track to one of the intersections at 2:37. It would save some room and easily allow the trams access to the depot.
I really like how often you're posting these videos. I will often put you on while I eat or while I'm playing a game, as I like hearing you talk about C:S, even though I probably know most of the tricks you're talking about by this point (I've been watching you for some time; most of what I know I learned from you)
I found out that when you wanna place a road or path to go down to ground level. Just press the 'home' button and it will go to the ground level without pressing the - or + button.
I'm such a weird dude, when I do a Highway- Avenue intersection, I do a roundabout over the highway, make the roundabout big enough to put a unique building in the middle, great for the observation tower or landmarks. It makes a nice aesthetics. Also my new city I have a Commercial dedicated area with the 3 mall buildings. Hooked in with monorail/ Rail and Metro.
Loving the speed of these episodes being released. Please keep up this pace Biffa. As soon as I see the videos in my subscription feed, I click it lol.
I think it would be nice to have a small shuttle bus route in the shopping area. Just one vehicle and 5 or 6 stops from the parking garage to the malls, festival area, and opera house.
24:29 Biffa forgetting that trams run on overhead electric cables. Now everyone that wants to cross over will have to jump the power lines xD
Why not live dangerously 😋
I say, wire not?? 😂
refreshed one minute too late! finally, was waiting for this
Another video to watch, and what a treat it was. Really really enjoying your new city thus far.
You could make a luxury district in and around that forrest ( by the industrial lake!)
And a large central park in that dense forrest across the river from Teaport Opera.
You know what'd be really neat? Sometimes for the outro do a slow zoom back into the sky to see the birds-eye view of how Teaport is developing. Like every five episodes or so to see how all the new stuff is fitting in :D
Does anybody else like the video before actually finishing it?
I'll like during a video at a point i really like the build , otherwise at the end.
I find on iOS I have to like before it finishes to save having to search the app to find the video again... haven’t got the knack of the iOS app yet!
I like the video as the ad is playing at the start tbh
I like the video as soon as it it in my subscription tab on youtube. Usually I will watch it later in the evening, so after liking the video I am looking forward half a day before enjoying the video for real. Biffa never lets me down. Never regretted my like!
I usually press like at the first "sip-o-tea" :)
In the view at 1:00, you should put the opera house in the oxbow where that little neighborhood currently sits. That would be a great view of the river for the residents of Teaport.
You could add a shuttle bus for that zone, and then set the Free Transport policy, so people don't have to walk with shopping to their cars in the carpark.
Welcome to Teaport. Don't miss out on our new tourist area: Le Tea Tour.
(Though Biffa does need to lower the business tax in order to encourage tourist shops to come to the area.)
Lol, I was going to suggest Scenic Teatour and you beat me to the pun(ch). Oh well, maybe I'll get lucky and he'll finally build a sketchy, high crime neighborhood called The Dregs. It's a long shot, considering how Biffa likes everything to look maintained and orderly, but one can hope.
@@asenseofyarning5614 I like Scenic Teatour as well.
That's one of the coolest residential areas I've ever seen. The area with the trees. Super unique and detailed and believable.
Hi Biffa, loving the new series.
You can use train tracks even before 11k pop. Search 'cargo track' on find it; it will have the dirt road icon so don't get confused. It works just like normal tracks, but the base of the track is paved, not dirt.
It is a vanilla asset.
So happy to be watching this city come together along with everybody else. Great work!!
the main thing I learned from the last episode was that you can make ind. zone in the farm and will make farm buildings, that will help a TON!
Name for new tourism opera house area: Auto Save SympaTEA
I do like how much you're improving your indus-tea area, and I'm glad to hear you plan to improve your civilian mobili-tea; it all looks really great! I look forward to seeking where you go next, you've really got my curiosi-tea piqued!
9:41 Biffa asking if he has enough money to buy a 7.000$ Square
Also Biffa: has 250.000$
Love your videos btw, keep 'em coming!
Make a park. Make a road closed to pedestrians and all vehicles except service that goes under or over the park fence. Place your big tourist draws inside such park areas. Cluster mass transit just outside the park entrances to diffuse tourist traffic. Also a great way to add specific/special buildings inside theme parks and such to make them even more themey. Nest the park area entrances for cheesy profits.
Closing roads to pedestrians is a challenge. I find the simplest way is a loop with the road going into the park extending up or down past the fence from inside the loop. Then forbid pedestrian lane crossing.
Wow! Shoutout to Keralis - I remember watching his Minecraft videos when I was only 10 years old; haven’t heard that name in years. Thanks for all the memories!
Lovely as ever Biffa, but perhaps u need a little bit of road between the feeder road and the commercial area, so they dont have to go all way round {third crossing after the road crossing to the commercial, first being the tram and train and the second being the major road}. Love seeing this city grow.
Whenever you find any sandy part of land on the coast , leave it open so that it looks like a beach
Indeed, it would even be good to add more sand occasionally. Open sandy beaches are very nice.
dlwatib ikr
I'd call a line to the tourism area CHAI-na express to make it a tea reference, but in a more original & oriental flavor. Love the series Biffa, you make us all inspired to play ourselves.
A good name for the Opera Tourist Mall area? I can't think what is most OpTMall!
Oh, and remember you need space for a train station!
Built the same city with a couple of changes, been following along. Making about $20k with a 1m+ balance and around 15,000 people. Great Work.
Love these vids mate, enthusiastic presentation, great editing, amazing content. Recently found your channel after getting back into the game and I’m glad I did! ❤️
Thankyou 😁
For the bridge going across the rive, try setting the road to elevated on the section that runs along the beach/sand to that the beach/sand stays at whatever level it was and the road will just be slightly above it so it will not alter the height of the beach/sand area.
Biffa: why tourism buildings are essential to make money?
Me: So that we can scam people very easily by rising up the ticket price.. 😂😂
good gamers hahaha nice
I like how you're always trying to tuck away the tourists into a specific corner of your city, even though that's not how most cities are, in my experience 😃
Most have an area that tourists will visit. This is it 👍
Thank you Biffa for doing you videos. It helps keep my mind off of what's going on here in the US, even if your videos are only less than 30 minutes long.
Doubt if biffa will ever see this comment but I think it would be really cool to have the pedestrian path go over both the roads as a massive pedestrian walkway over the highway! Would be a cool walk and think it would add some nice detail to the boring highway. Could stay at the same height too!
Biffa I love your city skyline vids
I know you haven’t unlocked it yet, but I’ve been putting tons of national highways in my city. It’s doing wonders for traffic, but I don’t have to say that to the king of traffic management. I would just leave space for a highway loop from your residential to your industrial. They seem to stay way off my streets that way if they are not using my mass transit. I’m taking yours, and a few other’s advices and I am started to really love my city. I have left many cities, but I have stuck around with my current one for a long time. It’s growing the slowest for some reason, but I don’t mind. It gives me time to plan and design stuff.
Definitely should have put the festival area where the opera house went! And made the rest of the area around that beach into a large park.
Anywho, Teaport is looking fantastic! Really enjoying the new city.
That's a great little tip, anarchy-ing a walking path across the tram so they can cross over, gonna throw that in my game right now! Your mall area looks really good too, I'm gonna have to dig through your assets for some of those trees for sure :)
It's a tourist trap, should call it the Partea District. :-)
You beat me to it, except I was going to say “Partea Village”
Yes, please!
New drinking game. Take a drink everytime biffa says "dedicated turning lanes".
Oh boy. Imagine doing that on a traffic fix vid. I'd be smack damn hammered afterwards :D
...when he says "fantastic" :)
Now that we have a milking parlor, we need a cheese factory. Of course the name of it will be..."Have Fartea Cheese".
Oh my God, that pun hurts in the best way. 👍
@@asenseofyarning5614 If Archangel will design the logo for Have Fartea Cheese I will buy a shirt from Biffa with that logo.
I love to put festival areas on the edge of a nature reserve with a big tent area in true British style. I'd love to see you build a Glaston-teaport-bury style festival. You could even have some cows wandering around 😁
Thx for the ❤ biffa, back at ya!
Loving the teport series. Just started it and offers a nice alternative to watching the no modded game with City planner. Both amazing creators.
I have taken inspiration from you Biffa. Im trying to take your city Layout and add some of my own touches. Im really enjoying your videos and you are a very good teacher imo since i have learned much just by watching your videos. Keep up the good work Biffa! Greatings from Norway.
Speaking of tea related names I think Boston Harbor is a great one. I hear the harbor water still tastes like Earl Grey.
Idea for raised tram line. Add a pedestrian crossing over the tracks and use the tracks as part of the pedestrian bridge. Like a raised tram station.
Feels really weird to have this Haussmanian kind of building in the middle of nowhere, and not in old City-Center ^^
You also should paths to get down from the "tree avenue" to the tourism related district
What an awesome build! Having the opera house by the river makes me think of Prague or Vienna =)
What I think could fit in very well into those small park areas are ponds (natural or artifical) with some ducks and other birds.
I while back I also found a narrow walkable quay wall which looks very nice and allowes to add paths directly on the water front.
Nice to see you putting a bit more time and detail into the new areas your building. It is better to take time now and get them right rather than going back at a later date once it's all built up. Keep up the good work 👍
I love building tourist areas. They always seen to be alive. And the Opera by the river is looking great.
£365k for those 4; 150 for department; 19.9 for the mall, 60 for festival area; 135 for the opera
Hi Biffa! Just a suggestion for you for highways. You always do a lot of changing the three lanes down to two lanes at an interchange, what about making just before and just after the interchange, four lanes, that way it creates your turning lane without having to Throttle Down the rest of the highway?
This way just works, after extensive testing 👍
It might have been used already, but 'Fartea Grove' made me think of the name 'Montea Piethon' for something, cause tea is great with a slice of cherry pie!
Oh, and maybe a 'Laney Mann - Edgemint Memorial Park'? Or one for 'Tempe President'? Name puns galore..
You should name the area where you end up putting the festival grounds "Festivi-tea Meadows" :) I can't believe how these videos seem to get so many views and way less likes. I always try to remember to like the video at the start so I don't forget.
👍
Oh I love that name!
Computers broken so I can't play Cities Skylines 🙁 However your content always makes me smile. Keep up the good work Biffa!
I play simcity build it on my phone whilst my pc is being built
At the very start of the video, I was ready to suggest dropping your elevated tram route down to ground level in a couple of places so that you could put some stops in - and then you beat me to it! Just one thing, with the footbridges, it looks as though you have lowered them below the overhead wires for the railway 🚊 and the tram line 🚋 ... that might give pedestrians a nasty shock ⚡!
So this is why I’m never early. You upload at 6am in Texas.
Ha I understand that reference
It's 9PM, I have a cup of tea and Biffa just uploaded!
A cup of tea at 9PM? I like you my friend
It's 5 pm here...
@@JustAnotherAccount8 Never a bad time for a cup of tea!
Nice! Just add pedestrian paths to the mall area from the new tram stops and crossings too!
As for the name of the new district, since the game suggested Holly District, I wanted do go with some holly tea names (I'm real lucky that all the game names so far came from plants, so it makes things easy). There's the popular Yerba mate, as well as Guayusa, but I settled on *Yaupon District* after yaupon tea.
Because the taxonomic name for that particular species of holly - _Ilex vomitoria_ - brings to mind the vomitoria of ancient Rome, which were not rooms to vomit in, like the urban legend says, but rather "emergency exits", designed to let out a huge crowd of people at once, and were used in (amphi)theaters. Or, in case of Teaport, an Opera House, tying it all together.
25:04 It would be really nice if you made the descending slope on the tourism side of that walking path go towards the crosswalk rather than away from from it. It might look intersting too. As a pedestrian, I would certainly appreciate the more direct path!
Biffa: puts the walking pathway under the tram and train contact wires
Also Biffa: "perfect!"
It's not a bug, it's a feature. The citizens can get a mental recharge during their commute.
25:36 - the first foot bridge crosses over the tracks but then anyone using it would have to climb over a fence to get to the sidewalk and the crosswalk.
Also need additional road connection to entire tourism district. Maybe at the end of the road with zoned buildings?
Currently watching this as I am broken down waiting for a tow truck 😂 Biffa, you’re a life saver
I really like the way you add up the little details.
The tourism district looks rather amazing...
Naming suggestion for the tourism area. Teatore Alley or Teatour Alley whichever you prefer, without Alley is good too. (tore for tour since that's like the pronunciation to give the name a flare. Tour for tourism.)
You could put a bord walk by the opera house and the river and a shopping area and maybe Teaport's first grand hotel
they can't use your 1st footbridge, there is a fence in the way. You might want to put a path from the opera house under the rail bridge to the green housing estate. You could also add in a foot path from the end river end of your old highstreet to the green houses, there is a big gap there already
I started watching Biffa when he started Teaport. Keep up with the good work!
Good work Biffa, doing well with the rocks and trees 🌳 👍

You can go to the mods settings and select ''Find it'' mod to activate the ''Unlock all'' setting. Put back the train-tracks you destroyed and then deactivate the ''Unlock All'' setting. After that you wont have the same problem you had in Teaville.
Not touching any unlock all thanks. No rush to get it hooked up again 👍
