Dengue (break-bone fever) is a viral infection that spreads from mosquitoes to people. It is more common in tropical and subtropical climates. Most people who get dengue will not have symptoms. But for those who do, the most common symptoms are high fever, headache, body aches, nausea, and rash.
I think that might of been what it was. A few people suggested that was what it was, I had some of the symptoms but not all of them. Never had any nausea but the rash was similar 👍
This channel is basically about an honest western man, probably high IQ, dealing with third world charlatans. Never forget, just because they speak English, that they don't really think like us. I like this channel and I see he is making all the same mistakes I made.
Agree 100% had a knee replacement surgery at medical city in Angeles city, gues what my knee got Infected, the surgeon didn't even come to see me at the hospital he sent his aid to check me out, I was hospitalized for 1 month there getting anti biotic medicine, my knee was red swollen, I was so upset I checked myself out and went back the USA in a few days, was admitted in the hospital in New York, they removed the Implant, replaced it with a antibiotic spacer, was given antibiotic for 5 months then had the permanent hardware installed, the surgeon told me if I waited longer i could have lost my left leg, he did a wondeful job, as for any foreigners who wish to come to the Philippines and you have some health issues, " DO NOT COME HERE", you may die before you get seen by a doctor, medical care in the Philipines is Stone Age.
St. Lukes and Makati Medical are top notch excellent care = to western first world countries .. one very BIG reason i live in Manila .. altho i do understand Manila not being for everybody
Glad to see you back and things are getting better will contact you when we are in Philippines In the meantime stay upbeat after your not so good times. Love to Ellen Take care things can only get better xx
I brought up the issue months ago when you had the set to with that crazy bastard. Get friendly with the Barangay Captain. Donate to his or her campaign. Once they get to know you they can become your saving grace. Remember, in the Philippines it’s not what you know it’s who you know. Stay safe Simon.
Trouble is mate, life's never that simple, at least not for me 😂. I know it's great advice but our Barang Captain is a CLOSE relative of the land lord's wife, so we were advised not to go that route by our neighbours who are friends with Ellen.
Hello china. I had tge same thing a month ago. Raging fever and hallucinating. Luckily Angel is a trained nurse and has connections. Was on a drip for 3 days as doctor said i was severely dehydrated. Ended up shaking if off and got out cheaply thanks to Angel. Hope youre well mate. Best to you both from me and Angel.
I know mate, you had us really worried. You looked soooo dehydrated in the videos mate, we both feared for you to be honest but you're a tough old boot mate. Can't keep a good man down 👍 All the best to you and Angel, we'll have to take a trip up to Cebu and pay you a visit at some stage, be lucky 👍
The medical establishment every where in the world has lost a lot of credibility after the coof imo. Take your health into your own hands. Try and fast every now and then, resets the immune system.
While living in the Philippines I was lucky as my neighbor was a doctor. Doctora Say but that was 35 years ago. When she suggest a blood, Ihi or tae tests she would send my family or me to go to this woman's clinic just a tricycle ride away. Hospitals are making money. Of course they do help people but a a large cost.
Much appreciated my friend but honestly it's all good now. It's a shame we missed out on the move but we're over that now. I've always liked the house it was just a terrible month with the cyclones and the loss of power, water etc but fingers crossed everything is back to normal now and we won't have too many more issues over the next few months while we run the contract down🤞Be lucky mate 👍
😀😀😀😀😀 glad your feeling better keep your chin up so many truths you said,I heard a lot of sickness there last month lucky you had a girlfriend to look after you.
What about earthquakes and volcanoes???? 🌋 🤔 Don't forget the Philippines is in the Ring of Fire! The typhoons cause major flooding, taking lives each time apart from the enormous damage. Very tragic. And with climate change, the storms are getting stronger and more frequent. I live in the Gulf Coast area in the US. Two years ago, I had a major tree fall in front of the house, causing so much damage. I have lived in this same area for the last 40 years, and I have seen the storms get stronger and very frequent. I wish I could move to another part of the US, but I can't afford to. I never felt this way in the last 40 years. It is amazing that scientists have been right about their predictions of more storms and stronger ones, too!!!
This sounds like a ticking time bomb. Going back in to holiday mode is like "I've decided I'm going to stay with my wife but we're going to live in different houses because we can't get along. Problem solved." 😂
I spent 30 days at a time x 6 trips > I found daily life in the Philippines 🇵🇭 challenging > recently I went for a 3 night trip to Cebu and did the things I liked and my time was enjoyable ✅👯♀️😎 living on a permanent basis in the Philippines 🇵🇭 is not for me 😮

Agree 100% about not moving to Philippines if you have any underlying health issues. They just don’t have the skills and machines like is available at the major hospitals in the west. I also think the loss of face issue can cause wrong diagnosis.

I also had to have a tetanus shot, two viles another $2600p back to hospital for nurse to administer $200p also another $200p to hospital. It soon adds up. Good beard mate welcome. That sucks about the sickness Ive observed bad experiences with doctors in he phils also i think some of the cebu medical places are ok but they are bigger money. I wonder if there is some sort of online dr service so u can just go get the test you want and then get them to check the result and go to pharmacy for the right meds? I think i will research that. Oh and that whole duma area has bad infrastructure mate maybe we will catch up soon again cheers
