Quick guide to the Carrier Performance Mini-split split system placed in your apartment. Be sure to change to batteries every 8-12 months in your remote to ensure the batteries do not corrode and damage the remote.
Thank you! We just had this system installed today with three heads. We live in SW rural Oregon, so they will get used. Our old system was a regular heat pump with the old refrigerant and getting tired. It is so quiet!
You may qualify for the $2,000 Federal Tax Credit with that system. Check IRS code 25C
Thank you now I know how to use it
Ty very much for the video
In COOL mode, it never stops even if the temp is set at 80.
@@PeterThomas-sg8bq contact your installing dealer for a service technician to come out if the unit is not working properly
Are you sure that eye mode isn’t the “eco mode/occupancy sensor”.. I thought the same thing for awhile and then learned that hitting “set” until you see the little person is the “follow me” mode. Easiest way to tell is the hand held remote will display the room temp and the ductless unit will display “if on” the set temp
They have changed some of the settings over the past years for that function. See your owners manual for exact functions
Big help for our aura carrier aircon👏
How do I change Celsius to Fahrenheit?
Thanks--I can't find out anything about the timer function, is it just a countdown or can you set it to turn on after a delay?
Owner's Manual - Carrier www.shareddocs.com/hvac/docs/1009/Public/0A/OM-40MAQ-06.pdf
What I’m concerned about is it never shuts off? It just gets very cold in here and on the auto mode it doesn’t let you set the temperature you want … what am I doing wrong.. I use it only for AC
It makes noice outside
How do you take off follow mode so each ac has its own control. But we have the remote build into the wall
Mine wouldnt power off. I had to push button wait a few minutes..... repeated this several times...wait....changed temp to 85 degrees, push power again and then it finally turned off. I'm not sure what's going on
You may have a bad remote or possibly a bad board. I would turn the breaker off that supplies power to the outdoor unit for 10 seconds to do a full reset.
I'm having the same issue right now. It will not turn off and it is making alot of noise. Of course the repair offices are closed. I reset the breaker but that didn't help. It sounds like the hose is clogged. I looked everywhere to get the little square section off on the wall unit to try n unclog it but these carrier books are useless.
I just got my ac fixed and replaced the Freon. It was working for about a month, and then now it’s not getting cold again, maybe I accidentally locked it???
@@abbyrashelle the Freon should never have to be replaced. The system has a leak somewhere that a tech needs to find
You get instructions? And if the HVAC company didn't give you an instruction booklet, where do you get it?
Owner's Manual - Carrier www.shareddocs.com/hvac/docs/1009/Public/0A/OM-40MAQ-06.pdf
I've read manual and I'm still totally confused. Plus, my filter comes out the front of the unit.
So Carrier/Bryant has 3 lines: comfort, performance, and Infinity. The one in the video is a Performance model. You may have the comfort model
Let me know what confusion you have and I’ll try to help
Can you set these to kick on and off when desired temperature is reached? The manual is confusing..mine is a bryant brand...it just continues to run...unless we shut it off?
The indoor fan will always run even at a low speed in order to pull air through the machine to register the temperature in the room. However, the outdoor unit will ramp up and ramp down or turn off as needed. I just set mine and forget it.
Thanks for the information!
So how do you turn off your unit when it will not turn off
@@triptonmiller8532 I would reset the breaker for 10 seconds and turn it back on. You may have a bad board, consult your local carrier dealer.
I put the fan on and now can’t get it off? I want heat and it’s just blowing cool air
Walk through all the steps again and set it to Auto
Do you know how to unlock the remote? The unit at work is set to 65° and the remote is locked, and customers are complaining.
Looks like you press both Boost and Humidity together to toggle lock off and on.
@@steveboston6889 thank you so much!
Where is the FP button
Does it oscillate on heating function? 4:40
Unfortunately, no
wht about tha timer
Press timer once, and you can select the number of hours until the unit will come on press the timer a second time, and you can select the number of hours until the unit will turn off
@@paulm850 i do manytimes but the aircon is not turning off pls do i video tutorial pls thanks advance
Mine says BRYANT.
Carrier and Bryant are made in the same factory, and are the same as Chevy and GMC or Ford and Lincoln. It’s the same thing.
