I love Sheng Yilun's expressive eyes. The emperor was suspicious of Jiang's pregnancy but did not want to investigate in case it happened when he was drunk. He was also tolerant of the empress becasue he thought he had wronged the empress because of the affair with Jiang. Didn't he know that Emperors never had to feel guilty about affairs? This emperor sure was different from other emperors.
I watched this drama many times. Each time, I watched, I got more out of it. It was like watching the movie Inception or murder mysteries; full of clues that needed to be figured out in order to connect the dots. It also started in the middle without explanation of how the story got there. Bad guys in this drama did not come with flashing neon signs and good guys were misunderstood until towards the end. I guess how a viewer interprets the drama is sort of a reflection of who or what a viewer is. There were no wasted scenes here.
