    How many o rings go on the spool? I have a gresen 3001 directional valve with 1 spool.

    • @SalamSayhood

      It should be 2 quads o rings. One at each end.

      I bought them from a local seal and O-Rings place here in Dallas called H&D Distributors. you most likely can find them at your local hydraulic shop. Best of luck,

      Good morning sir, I watched your latest video about the problem you are having with your tractor hydraulics. It could be one of these :
      1- the hydraulic pump is going bad or if the pump is driven by belt, the belt maybe loose.
      2- the hydraulic relief valve may need to be adjusted. For that, you will need a pressure gauge. Then you set the relief valve to the valve manufacturer recommend setting. On my Mahindra tractor, my valve is set to 1350 psi and I can carry a bucket full of dirt easy. If you have a pressure gauge, you can test the hydraulic pump as well. If you can't get the pressure to build up, then this indicate a bad hydraulic pump.
      3- it could be an internal hydraulic leak in the valve for the bucket lift spool. You can test if the bucket is all the way down and if you use the tilt valve to lift the tractor. Or if you you have the bucket high and use chain and try to lift heavy load using the tilt cylinders.
      4- it could be internal leak or wear inside the valve. You have to disassemble the valve to inspect it.
      5- it could be internal leak in the one or both of the lift cylinders.
      Please inspect them in the order listed above. If you have any more questions please let me know. You have a great day,

    Does the D-239 have plenty of power to push without the turbo?

      I keep my bulldozer turned up and for what I use it for is so powerful. I have one video about using the dozer when I dug two ponds, also I have other video about root rake I made for this dozer and at the end of the video you will see me pushing a heavy load.

    • @SalamSayhood
      @SalamSayhood  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I bought all the o rings from a local place called H&D distributor. They also sell them online. If you have the dimensions, you can find them on ebay too.

      @@SalamSayhood Thanks for the info. How do I get the dimensions. Do I mic the spool groves? I have a gresen 1spool directional valve 3001.

    • @SalamSayhood
      @SalamSayhood  ปีที่แล้ว

      You have many ways to get the right o rings:
      1- call hydraulic shop and give them the valve make and model and they should be able to give you the kit part number or the individual ring.
      2- measure the spool, grove depth and width and compare it to the old o rings.
      3- search online. You may find someone who sale part kit for your valve.
      You should have quad o rings for the spool and regular ones for the connectors. For the connectors make sure the new ones are nitrile 90 and for the spool it depends on the dimension (could be nitrile 70 or 90).

    I have no pressure coming from 2 different functions on my mini ex. the pump is good. I hear hydraulic hissing sound on all good functions but not on the bad ones. the spools go in and out of the valves but does nothing. been trying to diagnose this for about a year now. I resealed the whole valve body but never took the spools apart. any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏

    • @SalamSayhood
      @SalamSayhood  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello,
      1- Is your valve the same as the one in the video or is it another type? If different, would you please provide the model.
      2- Have you checked the pump pressure and the relief valve?
      3- The two bad functions, are they both on the same spool?
      4- When you say two bad functions, are they controlling hydraulic cylinders or hydraulic motor?
      Please let me know the answers to these questions so I can give you better
      Suggestion.

      it looks almost identical but unfortunately is a no name off of my nissan/hanix n150-2 pump is good. I have not checked any relief valves. the 2 functions are the dipper arm in-between bucket and main boom. and one final drive. the spools are next to each other in one of 2 valve sections that are all connected. thanks for your response

      I have swapped relief valves from a good working spool with one of the bad ones and there was no difference

    • @SalamSayhood
      @SalamSayhood  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@timhanna870 the best approach to troubleshoot the problem:
      First make sure:
      All the lines connected correctly.
      The dipper cylinder and the final drive motor are good. You can test them by swap the lines with different valve and test.
      Mark all the lines with color tie wraps and take alot of pictures before you start (so you can put everything back together the way it was). If you are not sure if the lines are correct, then trace them from each cylinder to the related valve.
      If all good, then disassemble the valve and investigate any rust, wear, internal leak or broken parts. It is fairly an easy job. Just make sure you do it in order to minimize any unnecessary work.

      @@SalamSayhood I just swapped hoses from good to bad valve and confirmed the valve is bad. I will take it apart now and investigate. Also in-between the 2 bad valves is the aux valve that is capped off and not in use. Previous owner must have disabled it. And that spool is sticking out the rear looks like through a broken spring housing. No oil leakage. Just looks like something is not rite with it. Thank u

    How did you get the relief valve apart

    • @SalamSayhood
      @SalamSayhood  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is very easy, you have to remove the relief valve housing (the large nut), once you remove that, then everything will come a part. Then you can follow the instructions in my video to re assemble. Please note: depends on your machine, you may have to remove the complete valve to gain access to work on the relief valve. I hope this answer your question. If you need more help, please let me know.

    • @SalamSayhood
      @SalamSayhood  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the lower part (cylinder) stuck in the valve body, you can use rubber hose insert it on screw driver (to prevent scratches) and put it inside the cylinder and pry it out.
      If you have the lower cylinder our of the valve body and you want the inside parts out, then you can use one of two ways:
      Blow compressed air from the valve body side, make sure to use rag around it to prevent parts from flying every where :)
      Or you can tap it of soft surface and the parts will come out.
      You may have some rust or contamination to keep the part from coming out. If this is the case, clean it with WD-40 and keep try to move the inside parts both directions and this should loosen it out. I hope this will help. Please let me know how it goes.
