The worst desecration is the killing of innocent citizens. You can rebuild a palace but not human life destroyed.

Thank you, Erelu. You have tried. But you keep referring to 'our children' and l find that irritating! As mothers we should not be afraid to speak the truth! Many of these you call 'our children' are multiple degree holders! They watch their mates, or even less qualified persons easily getting jobs, while they keep walking all over the place looking for jobs bcos of POLITICAL DISADVANTAGE OF WHICH LOCAL GOVT. THEY COME FROM! They keep watching our so-called leaders stealing from our treasuries 'anyhowly' NO CONSEQUENCE! EVEN RECOVERED LOOT IS UNACCOUNTED FOR.....
no light, no water, no roads, no justice, it's endless wahala!

Thank you mama for your honesty. You can't be removed from the people her word left me bewildered and her including herself as those who failed young people in Nigeria. She wasn't defensive and took responsibility. God please preserve our queen and reward her with long life. I met her once when I was in Nigeria and she was full of love and radiated confidence. No wonder God is renewing you in strength, wisdom and ever-green. I agree with you that we can't ruin Nigeria in our own time. God bless you, our queen!

You are truly a mother, you didn't mince words. You have spoken the truth, those leaders who have ears should make changes now. God almighty will keep you in good health and long life to see changes that you talk about, thanks for you sincerity. The Oba is said to be a rogue police man that was imposed on our people by Tinubu, and who have been wicked to his people and all the communities around him. This couldn't have happened if he was good to his people. Am so sorry he got what he deserves. This is a lesson for other Oba's in Nigeria it could be you next. Do the right thing for your people and when days like this happen they will defend you with their blood.

I like Erelu. She talked to the powers on behalf of the youth and children. Honestly, free education is still possible in Nigeria but because of their selfishness, people in government will not do it because they want to continue to oppress the people.
Like Erelu said, deprived and neglected youths live close to the affluence, the affluence feel oppressed every single day. To make matter worse, some of the children of these affluence went to the same schools with some of these youths because the affluence suddenly become affluence. So the angry youths know them. Just like Erelu said, not all these protesters are miscreants or hoodlums.
Some of these crops of these opportunistic leaders were nobody 10, 15, 20 years ago. They had the opportunity, suddenly found themselves in the positions of leadership and then lord it over the people. Of course, people will react.
If these leaders do not change to be responsible, the protesters will be in the street again because they can't continue to be oppressing people, accumulating wealth of the nation to themselves and their families. They can't continue to use thugs to impose themselves on people. You can't be a governor, your wife a Senator, your in-law a legislator, your child a leader of women and you expect people to fold their hands.
Awolowo did not provide this kind of leadership during his time. Though he might get have had some shortcomings people still respect him long after his death.
You can imagine just common palliatives that rich people donated money to buy and distribute to the masses are locked up in warehouses across the country and you expect hungry people not to open the warehouses and take them? It won't happen because the money used to buy those palliatives did not come any governor's pocket. Rich people donated money like every other sane societies around world to help the masses and government refused to give what belong to masses to the masses. What do we hear in return from the government are lies upon lies telling us they want to repackage the palliatives. What repackaging are they doing for indomie Noddles.? Why couldn't those palliatives packed in units of distribution from the factories that made them.? Wicked people. If nothing changes, youths will still come after all of theses wicked leaders and self acclaimed useless leaders.

I understand you Brother, she speaks from the Angle of a Royal Highness which serves as a Mother, though you are right.. We don't need People who'll think they are fathers rather than good leaders we expect them to be.. There are Bad Fathers whether we like it or not.. Good Leadership is what we want, Transparency is key in leading the people.. The people should be carried along.. We all want to be involved from now with what happens around us.. *BREAKING NEWS: NIGERIA’S LEADING NGO APOLOGISES FOR SPREADING FAKE NEWS OVER LEKKI SHOOTINGS*
There are indications that more people and organizations are coming to realize the errors in their allegations over the alleged Lekki shootings. One of Nigeria’s leading organizations Enough is Enough has admitted it was wrong over its initial publication and allegations that the state governor Babajide Sanwoolu ordered the removal of CCTV cameras from the Lekki Toll Gate.
EiE, led by Yemi Adamolekun is one of the credible organizations in Nigeria that other global bodies rely on for its positions on Nigerian affairs. The European Union, United Nations, and other have condemned state authorities over alleged state-sponsored “killings at the Lekki gate”.
Yemi Adamolekun, took to its Twitter page to tender the apology admitting that it was wrong over its initial publication and allegations that the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu ordered the removal of CCTV cameras from the Lekki Toll Gate. The apology and other events after the Lekki shootings give indications that more people and organizations are coming to realize the errors in their allegations over the alleged attack on the #EndSARS protesters at the protest venue.
The NGO tweeted: "This was an error. These cameras are not CCTV cameras but license plate verification cameras. "They were removed to prevent vandalization after Gov Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced the curfew.
"He has said the CCTV footage is intact. We apologise for the error. EIE is adjudged one of the credible organizations in Nigeria that other global bodies rely on for its positions on Nigerian affairs.

This Erelu has strongly indicted oba of Lagos and tinubu including the governor sonwolu. Also from her personal encounter with protesters at the palace and the poverty of the people who live in that very neighborhood, it's very obvious the people who sacked the palace are aggrieved Yoruba youths. This is a well spoken and reasonable Nigerian mother who has open mind to address critical issues affecting the lives of ordinary Nigerian people. The time has come for all these rich people in Nigeria to come down from their ivory tower and tackle the problem of the poor, otherwise they will not have the peace they crave for behind their iron gate mansions.
