    Nice. Diffusion options don't get as much thoughtful discussion as they ought to. Perhaps you'd consider doing a part 2 with some of the diffusion fabric options not included in this comparison like White Quarter Silk, White China Silk, Highlight, Black Quarter Silk, Black China Silk and Black Poly Silk. Discussing black versus white diffusion fabrics could also open up a new topic for comparison: Specular Highlights.

    Great comparison, main problem i can see is we probably like some that are a little bit more saturated so with the aputure 600x could change my decision
    Great job anyway, probably the best method of review of rags in all youtube

    Great video. Any stand you would recommend for the 600D, f10 w/barn doors combo besides a combo stand? I have a couple mathews combo stands for my 600ds m, but they are a pain to port around in a car and take up a lot of space. Using my beefy baby stand with this setup seems sketchy though or with a 5ft softbox. Best to stick with the combo? Thanks

    • @thegranitegaffer
      @thegranitegaffer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use the Matthews digital combo stands. They're a little lighter weight and easier to port around, but basically the same height extension!

      @@thegranitegafferthanks! Any lighter diffusion you would recommend for talking the edge off, pushing light through a window? 1/2 soft frost cuts it by 2 stops, not great with my 600d. 1200d or hmi would be better I think for 1/2 soft frost probably?

    What is magic Cloth, does it have another name? How do I purchase in this part of the world?

    • @thegranitegaffer
      @thegranitegaffer  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is only known as magic cloth. You may have to contact a distributor in your country!

    • @JVShred
      @JVShred ปีที่แล้ว

      They call it Halo Frost too. Magic cloth is a trademark name from one company. La Rag house sells Halo Frost.

    good stuff man, what frame is that? Looking into a 6x6 frame myself debating on Mathews snap apart or modern studios frame.

    • @thegranitegaffer
      @thegranitegaffer  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's the chimera frame. I love it, had it for 6 months now and it's phenomenal for indoor setups. Breaks down and packs into my outback with ease!
