The female carries less weight and retains her agility while gravid and instead of hatching into larger numbers of smaller babies the eggs hatch into a smaller number of larger, more developed babies. We see this trajectory with a lot of ground-dwelling island birds as well.
Found eggs like that in the garden all the time but were already hatched. Never knew what they were from. One day I find one still intact and a Little lizard bust out and started running. Blew my mind , was really awesome.
I always find anole eggs in my pots. I take care of them cus they help keep my garden healthy. If I accidentally find an egg while repotting I just put it somewhere else

This isn't Anolis sagrei but rather Anolis lineatus. But nice footage anyway!
