Tbh a G *W* R logo is fine, and its fair use since it is transformative to complete the livery than to be the full livery
Another fun fact
The 166s(/165s) are actually set to west of bristol since the sprinters and pacers have moved on
On the green, the origional TSW2018 liveries are too dark, cuz the shade is basicly at GWR irl
The BMUs are working in this way
Electric: pantograph takes power from OHLE , does voltagy stuff , puts power into traction motors via wires
Diesel: diesel fuel is put into engine, it does its thing, the crankshaft gets turned , the energy from the crank is transformed into electric energy and sent to the motors also via wires
Love the 800 livery but it’s slightly wrong, on the 800 5 cars for gwr, the door surroundings are white, the 800 9 cars and all 802’s from gwr have green so just by changing the number it would be fine, love the livery tho I’m just picky 😋
i think it's totally fair that you download logos, it's not cheating it's just not limiting yourself, like if you spent hours on the logo rather than the rest of the paint, i think it's totally fine and i'd rather you have fun then grind out a tiny detail :)

I can see where your coming from but I’ve just done my first 800 004 GWR and the paint took the longest at around a day an a half but then levelling out for and making the GWR logo took about half hour if that and I also added names to mine version which took a further hour or so. You see personally for me making the whole lot from scratch is better than just downloading and placing stickers on a train as that’s basically what it is. Where is the fun in that,,,it’s all about a test of skill the hard work and then the reward comes when it’s up on creators club,,,soon as it is then the other ones in the works straight away. So keep ya eyes peeled for a retro livery as it’s the 4th day tomorrow working on it so hopefully it will be done and up on CC. ✌🏻

The livery is very good. The train you used to make that livery is a class 801 which is an electric multiple unit EMU however it has a single diesel generator as a back up should there be an electrical failure which just provides power to the motors instead of the pantographs. The class 800 however is a true bi-mode with 3 diesel generators for more power but can also use pantographs. Both use electro motors to drive the wheels. The diesel generators are found in the middle passenger cars not the 2 driving cars and the exhaust sits at one end of the cars

Did you do something to mod the diesel power? It's normally really sluggish on the 801 in-game, since it's meant to be an emergency backup

The reason the 801 sounds electric on diesel mode is just because, its diesel electric, so the engine is powering electric motors

Dovetail games need to sort out the engine sounds on the class 43 . As it stands it sounds nothing like the real thing

You can hear the electric motors because it acts like a diesel electric locomotive. Instead of drawing power from the Pantograph, the electric motors will use the diesel engines instead so the diesel engines don’t directly power the train but rather the electric motors that do. Hope this helps!
