I miss matooke. New subscriber here let's connect
Thanks for subscribing 😊
I thought banana peels are for throwing away, thanks for this video. A new tactic learnt.
Thanks for watching dear.
Peels help infuse more nutrients in your Matooke.
Not having banana leaves should not be a problem anymore. We improvise!
But the one in banana leaves is more sweater
@@nalubowarehema1101 thanks for watching mukwano. Munange I rarely get banana leaves but munyige craving can be hard to get rid of😄
Wow that's impressive
I never new that method
Thanks.
Hw does it taste??
Almost the same😊
Am going to try to do so..
Lovely!
What fish did you use in this recipe? I wouldn’t mind giving this a try! 😋
I used tilapia, thanks for watching dear.
@@batzalmariamsrecipes.4996 do you think it would work with Seabream? I can get those locally, think I would struggle to find Tilapia.
@@simon2k4 absolutely seabream can do as well. If you're in UK tilapia is sold in Those Asian grocery stores
I guess these are actually plantains... The ones we fry as dodo in Nigeria... Looks so delicious! I'm sure I'll love this meal.
Thanks for sharing! Subscribing 🏃🏃🏃
Olive 🤦Nooo, its not plantain, these are called Matooke in Uganda. Plantain is Gonja in Uganda both are really different. Thanks For subscribing dear❤️
Sweet heart plantains are different from bananas "Amatooke in our local language
@@faridansibambi5646 Amatooke is luganda but plantains is English word mwebereremu namwe
No dear. In Uganda we have banana search it on internet write there matooke. You will find them
Oh Wowwww! Thanks my beloved ones for the correction. Matooke looks so big I thought they were plantains 😃
I've learnt something new yeah!👍👍
Wow so nice 👏
Looks good but kugota nomulawo 🙄🤔🙈🙈in my Uganda we use our hands 🙏
Hahaha 😂 i was looking for this comment
th-cam.com/video/6ArvTBN3lVg/w-d-xo.html @😄 I know! Thanks for watching dear. Watch this one where I don't kugotta😊
How about boiling non pilled matookt
It's also possible but the end results are different. Non peeled ones will be dry but they are good too if that's what you're after. Thanks for watching ❤️
Do you still get the Munyige taste?
Yes please, thanks for watching
Carrot in fish no..
Where can I get that kind of kinnu
Got it off Amazon dear. Thanks for watching
Is matooke being made with banana or plantains.
Hey Jamaican Nana, that type of banana is eaten while still green. Matooke is what we call it locally in Uganda. Different from plantains.
@@batzalmariamsrecipes.4996 ok got it thanks. We eat green bananas too just by boiling it or making a porridge we don’t usually mash it up It’s so interesting how different cultures take the same food and make different dishes.
Use bananas
In.uganda we cover matooke with green banana fibres
th-cam.com/video/6ArvTBN3lVg/w-d-xo.html I can do it also the traditional way. But some times we gotta improvise😊
Banana leaves not fibres nawe
U a so clean bby
Looking good you food follow back ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
