- TCL just came out with a new phone, and named it number 10. Bold move. But you cant blame them, especially when iPhone is at 11, and Samsung just skipped a bunch of numbers to hit 20. Let's say you're driving and put your phone on the dashboard of your car for hours where the sun can bake the screen, that's where that test comes in handy at. I don't recommend people put their phones on their dashboards but people do some very stupid things or just don't think about it when they have those convenient pockets on the dash to hold things.

Guys, nowhere does TCL website say there's any layer on the screen, it's just a regular (/smarter version) night mode and blue light filtering mode... Nothing is revealed, nothing special exists there.
Google TCL CSOT. It's a hardware-based solution to peak blue light energy emissions. TCL has been at it for quite some time, the implementation is more mature that was meets the eye. . .

Funnily enough, TCL has been releasing phones for quite a while, in mainland china at least, i found that out while i had my old Alcatel Pixi 4, which i found out was manufactured by TCL, and just sold as an Alcatel brand, so TCL does know their phone manufacturing, and the 10 pro is more than likely the first globally released phone from them
This isn’t TCLs first phone, just the first they’ve sold under their own name. There most recent phone prior was the Blackberry KeyOne.

TCL has years and years making phones, just not in the USA... and they used to be pretty lower-end. In fact, they were responsible for the Blackberry Key 1 and 2 you reviewed.

I have a TCL 10 Pro, and have to say that this phone is really good. Very impressed with it. The display is really beautiful, the cameras are good. And overall, the phone itself is beautiful. I have the mint green color version

The blue is probably a very cheap way to make the screen less blue. By tinting the whole thing blue, it comes out less blue by the naked eye.
Sounds backwards but it works really well.

I had a TCL A1 as a temporary for a few months after I broke my phone about a year ago. They've certainly made budget smartphones before they made this one. I think I paid about $25 for it at the Dollar General. If I'm correct, TCL acquired Alcatel's mobile division.
I would appreciate if you add a visual cue(e.g a colored red/green smal box or a speaker icon on a corner of the video video) like ~2 seconds before a screachy metal scraching sound starts and have the cue last as much as the sound lasts (so that people can be prepared and lower the volume instead of skiping that part which can some times be messy since sometimes you skip to the next scraching part and unavoidably hear the other scratchsound) my ears cant bear it some times other than that I love your videos.

I really hate when people complain about "Its their Dream phone" or "I want that". He does it for his job, and these videos are actually USEFUL. Durability is a really useful thing to know when u own a phone. You guys really dont understand that hes buying it with his own money or the company send it to him. If you watched the Umi Super Phone durability test, the company sent it to him because they wanted a unbiased test of their device.
If you dont like watching phones being destroyed, then stop watching these videos. It's as simple as that. It's good to know what you need to watch out for if the durability test fails. Like if you agree.
