- A frigid single digit weekend of exploring and camping with the Western NY Overland group. With the help of me, Brian, and Tyler, Nick setup a weekend of trail mapping, dispersed campsite recon, and sightseeing. Camp was snowy, roads/trails were slick, and we ran into multiple down trees this weekend.

Getting down to that lakeside location would be fantastic during the summer months...I am sure y'all take advantage of that.
So that's only exposed because the reservoir is lowered for the winter season. During summer there's no more than a 6ft gravel ring and the water is up to the tree line. It's just for winter fun ❄

Darkside Off-Road Yes I live in Dutchess County. It is nice to see places where I can go off roading and camping. I have a m416 trailer with a roof top tent ready to go!!! (And the diesel heater for the winter!)

The forest roads are open year round. Trails are usually open, but sometimes gated depending on the season for weather management or wildlife reasons.

Without digging out my ANF map, was this up around Tracy Ridge or Red Bridge somewhere? I ask because at about 18:00 I see blue blazes on the trees like it’s North Country Trail.
Yep a bunch of this is near red bridge.
