u know, i really like to play legacy edition and not for "nostalgia" or something like that, but compared to what we have now, i feel that legacy editions are more polished and 4j studios really put more love and effort in those versions than Mojang in the newest minecraft versions.
I agree with this mainly when comparing Bedrock Edition to Legacy. There was a lot more care and polish put into Legacy compared to Bedrock's slapdash porting job.
Somewhere, in a ferry (me and my family moved back to me booshes) in a random ass box, is a Playstation 3 in its original box, with Minecraft inside it. That makes me nervous as fuck because shit might break :/
Somewhere, deep in the dump, my probably now mangled red ringed 360 is trapped beneath all that trash. and i am still mad it got thrown away without my knowledge while i was gone for a week.
Why is Mojang treating Legacy edition like some sick cancer that must forever be hidden away and absolutely eradicated from the face of the planet? Bedrock is shit. Everyone wants Legacy back.
They didn't even show it in the minecraft interview series (except for one clip when they were talking about Redstone or something) when it was a massive part of the game. It's like they want everyone to forget about it
I still have a PS3 and i play it sometimes. Sadly i can't play the minigames because the playstation3network servers went offline a long time ago. But it's still much better than the bedrock edition, sadly my minecraft has the new combat syatem with the ugly coldown but at least i still can play it

For the advancement thing, they could've gone the Wii U route (as Wii U lacked the Achievement menu theme for the console), but the fact that they went full custom is cool, too.
I'm so happy this is a project. Bedrock to this day feels so clunky, cluttered and slow, and Console Edition will always be the definitive Minecraft experience to me 🙏
@@syrup_gaming7916 Have you ever used any button in any menu? It takes no less than five seconds for any input to be processed and load into the next screen. Just yesterday I tried Bedrock on Switch for the first time in a while and I literally got soft locked by the options menu loading forever. I had to reload the game to get out of it 🤣🤣. That's clunky, cluttered and slow
I'd assume the soundtrack for the minigames is safe to use on TH-cam as the developers have come out and said that the main OST will remain "copyright-free" so they wouldn't be taken down in videos. Coming to the assumption that Glide, Tumble and Battle Soundtracks as well as Mash-up Soundtracks (they do exist) are also a part of the soundtrack. Not 100% sure, though, but that'd make sense.
The old minecraft music has copyright now for some reason. But C418 is not the one who claims the copyright despite him being the owner of the music. The companies called "LatinAutorPerf" , "LatinAutor" and "Warner Chappell" are making fake copyright claims on videos.
This just made my day. Console edition was my childhood, I played it ever since it existed on PS3 and have been there the whole way since. Bedrock replacing console really hurt my motivation to play the game, on top of playtime limits and kinda getting bored of the game. But after taking such a long break (like three years since I last played), I'm ready to get back into it. And this is just what I need. Just give it the mashup pack worlds and finish all the little details and we'll be golden! I'll definitely be using this whenever I get around to playing the game again. Would really be something to transfer all my old console edition worlds over to java with this mod (though I don't know if that's possible), and then just run around in them again. Also would be cool to play the minigame maps. I never played them in their heyday because I had serious rage issues back in the day and couldn't stand losing. I'd love the chance to return to them and truly experience it, even if I'm not great at combat XD

Damn I remember when i just had the demo on xbox 360, I played so much time
This is not console edition this is my memories...
I played Xbox 360 version my entire childhood, year was like 2013-15 and me and my friends played the entire day, good old times when everything was simple and functional, dont need to pay expensive to be happy
this got me tearin up, damn
i finally have a reason to play minecraft again
Damn it would be nice to play legacy edition with everything on console oh wait you cant because of course PC Gets This
yea there is a pack for bedrock edition on console but its severely outdated and isn’t even half as accurate as this one
@@dvmyzd do you know what its called
@@ScoutFlare75it’s called the vanilla deluxe legacy console ui and you can also use console aspects pack along with a console graphics pack
@@dvmyzdThe one from CrisXolt isn’t outdated so that one would be better to get
I still have saved some old tutorial worlds ❤️
I feel like stampy would have used this and just converted his world to Java if it was around back then lol
