It's worth noting, all the UI bugs you're seeing on LEM is caused by Legacy4J, which will be fixed in the future but will take a lot of work to do so

you can still play it if you reinstall it on your ps4 before the shutdown and then download it on your PS5 then there will be a button that says play legacy edition at the bottom

The Legacy servers are still online, I can still hop on a match of Tumble very easily and get a couple players in the server

0/10 out of ten they removed the elytra roll and I can’t change the biome scale or how many caves and structures can spawn in a superflat world and they don’t have the mashup pack maps.

I'd assume the soundtrack for the minigames is safe to use on TH-cam as the developers have come out and said that the main OST will remain "copyright-free" so they wouldn't be taken down in videos. Coming to the assumption that Glide, Tumble and Battle Soundtracks as well as Mash-up Soundtracks (they do exist) are also a part of the soundtrack.
Not 100% sure, though, but that'd make sense.
There is a few copyrighted music but you can do a command to disable those music but a good majority is safe to use
u know, i really like to play legacy edition and not for "nostalgia" or something like that, but compared to what we have now, i feel that legacy editions are more polished and 4j studios really put more love and effort in those versions than Mojang in the newest minecraft versions.
This mod is so amazing! I'm really excited about the future of the minigame recreations too

I just found this and I am so close to crying ive missed this and I missed all these mini games on console i used to play at its peak and this brings so many memories back
I'm so happy this is a project. Bedrock to this day feels so clunky, cluttered and slow, and Console Edition will always be the definitive Minecraft experience to me 🙏
For the advancement thing, they could've gone the Wii U route (as Wii U lacked the Achievement menu theme for the console), but the fact that they went full custom is cool, too.

Adding other mods with it enhances the nostalgia too because it shows what the og could have been with mod support. Seeing a tab for the mutant creatures mod looker so sick and the people that made this should be proud

My world is 11 years old And I’m still building on it I finish building Natch der untoten last year and I’m now working on zombie verruct in my world
I got the legacy minecraft cd which i bought in 2018, I remember when i made my first minecraft world which was a creative world. It gives me so many memories!

Its amazing how the community of this edition still flourishes so much that talented people have created a mod that completely transforms java to legacy Minecraft. They did such a good job it pretty much looks identical the the console versions!

I still got the old xbox 360 edition started playing in 2013 and i was only 3 lmfao i miss the old days
i don't have any particular nostalgia for the legacy console editions, *but* this would make a perfect excuse to play this on my CRT TV, since this GUI was designed with CRTs in mind back then. i might just download this mod for that explicit reason.
the achievement UI is actually from the WiiU and Legacy Switch editions
this reminds me of when i played this a few years back but sadly my xbox 360 minecraft disk corrupted and now every world is a water world and i cant move my camera

i loved the minecraft minigames, i used to be super good at the combat minigames like spleef, but my sister would always kick my ass in the elytra games

real nostalgia is when you thiught the aether that orane rocket ship and the hero brine shrine was real (i was one of them)
The ps4 version of legacy console had one last update due to contractual obligations it was village and pillage also the online of legacy ps4 is still online

yea there is a pack for bedrock edition on console but its severely outdated and isn’t even half as accurate as this one

look up a tutorial on prismlauncher profiles if you are new to modding makes things much more user friendly

I'm trying to install ReConsole. I need help, when i try and install it, it doesnt download as a .jar file (or .java file idk). Anyone know whats wrong? Im downloading it from Modrinth and its the latest one.
It's a modpack, not a mod
you will need to use a compatible launcher like prism launcher or the modrinth launcher to install a modpack

I think the whole point in this is to provide a easy way to play Legacy without the need of Emulation because Emulation is pretty hard to figure out for new users

Accept legacy 4j isn't available on bedrock consoles..
modding bedrock on console in general is pretty limiting, i dont really know how youd pull this off on there

It's an absolute shame that Minecraft Bedrock players like me don't have the Legacy4J mod in Bedrock. It will be amazing to see these tutorial worlds being brought back into Bedrock!
