  • In this video I got over what carbs I’m running (46s buckshots) and the jetting specs for them. Along with dual pulse fitting, reeds (vforce 3 vs stock), what reed stuffers to use, and filling transfer ports on manifolds.
I also go over a little trick for installing the vforce 3 reeds. And give some info on where to get stainless steel hardware for your Yamahas!

(Be advised all the m10 on this list are 1.5 thread and not 1.25. McMaster doesn’t care 1.25 m10.)

The cases are not separate per cylinder? I wouldn’t see the need to fill the intake balance port

To be honest I got them brand new for free so just using what I’ve got for now. I’ve heard the same but I normally always run a full boyseen set up on all my skis anyways. This is temporary😁

makes sense, what’s the worst that can happen if you run the pulse off one until I get the time to do the 2nd? Just not getting the correct tune for the second cylinder or can you cause damage of any sort?

To be honest not quite sure. But my guess is that you wouldn’t be pulling enough fuel to feed both carbs

I just bought new mikuni 44’s for my 760 sj and realized when they got here both have pump/pulse and the ones on there only have one pump/pulse and the other one has a pass through return. Was just going to swap it with the old one and started wondering if you could just run both pumps and what the benefits or cons are. Being you have two pumps on this setup could you let me know?

So this is my opinion and what I think. Stock 38s came with one pump so it’s fine to run them like that. 44s came with 2 pumps by design so I would personally think that to get them to perform as designed they would need a second pump and pulse line.
My carbs had 2 pumps so I drilled a second pulse in because you really shouldn’t run 2 pumps off of one pulse line.
My opinion but hopefully that helps
