That's normal. Most performers hate seeing themselves on camera. You know how when you hear a recording of your voice it sounds weird? Imagine that, but a hundred times worse because it's your face.
My favorite part is the moments they trade back and forth, looking to see if the other is laughing. A few times, it seems as if they though they looked to the other for approval. Which would speak volumes to mutual respect.
wtf? They never seemed like a duo, let alone funny together. I don't know why Andy was even there half the time. He was dead weight, its probably why they put him as far as they could off the set and not have the audience in the frame when the camera cut to him.
This reminds me of the good times I had watching Andy and Conan more than twenty years ago, on one of a handful of TV channels we had in Iceland back then (they are still few, but not as few), loving especially the utter chaos and idiocy of a badly thought out bit crashing horrendously and ending with peak awkwardness. I'm glad some of those clips and others similar to them have been made accessible. Thanks Conanites, Conaninians? Conananas? Coners... Ok, the Team Coco name isn’t so bad.
istg these two have the best host and side kick dynamic in all of late night shows I have seen. they just seem like rly good friends who have the same humour and can make each other laugh like no one else can
Beat part of the show, bar none. Love seeing the raw energy of the whole team, especially Conan, who is effortlessly funny even when not on air. Only shame was they didn't have something like Scraps during the NBC era...who knows how many great exchanges we never saw!
This is pure gold Conan you and Andy have always been great partners on the show I miss your late night shows you both are sweethearts who put smiles on our faces we need this in these times of trouble and doubt may you both stay blessed and safe and thank you for the laughs
They wouldn't need to go full Craig, but have the show scripted and ad-lib whenever there's an opportunity. To be fair, that's what they already did. But I wish they ad-libbed more since it often works better than the scripted stuff. Good thing we have the podcasts now.
As amazing as Conan is, Craig leaned FAR more into the absurd size of fomedy than anybody else has ever dared. Even Conan doesn't have the chops for that.
There are SO MANY brilliant "scraps", and _these_ are the ones they chose to comment on? The first two clips were just... awkward. I didn't get the feeling Conan or Andy particularly enjoyed seeing those again. Why not show and comment on the scraps where "Tull's Tips" goes off the rails, or the one where Andy explains the premise of "Jane the Virgin"? Or perhaps one of the scraps where Conan is threatening to cut a sketch - that would allow them to discuss how they decide what eventually goes on the air and what doesn't...? I'm a huge fan of "behind the nonsense", but this one really felt like a missed opportunity.
yup, it is him! freaking genius! He is actually responsible for/involved in the creation of lots of the things we love! Travel Show, Podcast, Clueless Gamer, This channel. Bley is the man!
I hope that Team Coco someday gives us Behind Behind the Nonsense: Scraps, a series of Conan and Andy looking back on their Behind the Nonsense series looking back on their Scraps segments and tell us what was going through their heads when they taped these.
Conan talking about how if he was just natural and unrehearsed no one would like it… when his remotes are the only things people watch, when Joe Rogan’s podcast has a bigger audience than every news channel combined… we love natural Conan.
The pure joylessness on their faces while watching themselves improv is beautiful!
it must've been excruciating watching that with cameras pointed at them, the sacrifices they have to make for the show...
@@thl205 As I was taught in Improv School, life is pain.

"It only FELT like 9 minutes"
best response to that kind of criticism I've ever heard!
I bet that line had been used a lot in their rehearsals.
It’s so nice that Conan let his doctor write a sketch. Doctor Arroyo is not only affordable, but also versatile.

Did you mean Doctor’s school?

That dog defending his owner was great
Daisy was so worried and then so relieved, happy, and filled with love to see Andy was ok.

Some of my favorite moments are when Conan and Andy go off on their improv rants in Scraps. The spontaneous banter they come up with is just amazing.
