Seems to me that a great paint job is the best advert for a company and vice versa. With that said, you two are incredibly patient. What’s more, you’ve really hit on something that other narrowboat channels don’t - fixes, tips and tricks, very interesting.
Thank you for all your videos. I’m seriously contemplating Widebeam living, and your videos and advice are invaluable. The fact you tell it like it is, without making it sound too idealistic and romantic is extremely helpful. I had no idea about anything, from licences to loos. So thanks for being my ‘go to’ ….. Not sure if I’ve missed it, but can you do a quick chat about all the ropes you need?? Thank you 🙏🏻
A karcher cordless window vacuum cleaner would be ideal for your plastic window condensation, one charge lasts a week (cleaning shower cubicle) and take 1 and a half hour to recharge
Earlier comment about magnets and blackout curtain. How about using small steel plates (rustproof) glued to the skylight with car rear view mirror glue, it's activated and hardens due to the sun.
I’ve got a transit minibus that I converted to a camper. I used black out fabric and magnets sewn in. Whether open or closed it holds the curtains to the metal frame. Has the frame on the sky light been covered in wood? Cheers
Can you name where you got the boat, or make and model please? Seriously considering buying a new wide beam and would love to avoid as many issues as possible.
@@WidebeamandWellingtons Hi guys. Funnily enough i have been looking at exactly that model today. Just cant decide between wide or narrow. We want wide for the space to live but part of us wants to travel more so narrow is better. Oh the joys of decision making. Love your boat BTW, gorgeous.
@@ianearl3407 you can get 10ft wide, wide beams which are better for navigation but still give more space than narrow boats, might be worth considering 😁
Hi guys, just noticed your rope hook thingy, behind you on your closing scene. I haven't seen you mention these before but it looks really handy as ours just lies on the floor. Did this come with the boat or is it something I can pick up? BTW, floor looks great and I'd have been tempted not to cover it again.
Hi William, I don’t think we have mentioned them 🤔 you pick these things up and forget 😂 anyway they’re actually meant for life buoys but work really well by clamping on the frame of the canopy. You can probably get them from a chandler but also from Amazon : amzn.eu/d/34JCgHG 😁
Couldn't you have used normal pipe lagging and ties? Grey is a popular colour at the moment and i quite like the various shades being slightly different. Dark and light compliment each other!
If the surface to be painted isn’t prepared correctly prior to painting, then it’s not “fit for purpose”. Not a bloody “optional extra”. That the boat builder/manufacturer isn’t doing everything possible to fix this issue for you is incredibly disheartening (to say the least). I’m so sorry that this happened to you.
You guys have been incredibly kind and not shot blasted the boat builder. We are looking to have a boat built and have to say your builder isn’t doing themselves any favors not sorting out your problem and not communicating.

Very true! And thank you for the lovely comment 😁
That guy is seriously ‘punching’. All respect to you fella! 🤜

Hi Sarah, thank you 🙏 that is very kind and thank you for watching ☺️ Yes of course, we will pop it in the next video if possible 😁

Ah yes we do have one, they’re fantastic 😁
BRILLIANT..!
Thank you ☺️

That’s a good idea, we sort of wanted something that wasn’t permanent on the glass though 🤔
Great skills cleaning up that burnt potato steel surface what a mess that was great job .
Thank you ☺️ was a mess! 😬

That would have been perfect but unfortunately it’s wood on the inside 😫😳😊
Flexiteek would look nice.
It would 👍🏻😊

Hi she’s a Collingwood Euro Cruiser the inside fit out is beautiful unfortunately you have to be careful of their paint work from our experience!

Ah yes the rest of the pipe is lagged this was just for the corner joints 👍🏻 thank you, we like it too 😁
Loving the videos and the boats tours, settle an argument for my better half and me. What are the dimensions of your boat?
Uh oh! lol 😂 she’s 60x12’6” good luck 🤣
Well, now I’m invested 🤣

Crazy isn’t it! Interestingly the builder commented on our previous video saying they will make contact. Haven’t heard anything yet! 🤔🤣
