Twelve Christmas dolls, eleven pretty sketches, ten peppermint canes, nine mini ice skates, eight angel costumes, seven mini presents, six doll-sized scarfs, FIVE POM POM SNOWMEN, four Christmas wreaths, three mini trees, two snowflake garlands, an a doll-sized stocking for the hearth!
the realization that i’ve been watching this channel for around 6 years really hit me. my first memories of talking about this are in middle school and i’m graduated now. woah
same here lol! i remember loving her tokidoki unicorno repaints vids when they first came out and i must have been around 10 or 11? lots of good memories associated with this channel for sure!
this is one of the occasions where i think the doll turned out to be even prettier than the concept art! (a hard thing to do, and not at all intended to be a slight against your dolls, i just absolutely adore your art style when it comes to illustrations, so please take this as very high praise!)
I think you should definitely release the pattern on your etsy shop! It could be modified by users for a lot of different outfits, like a midevil jesters or clown, plus people could make their own Christmas elf outfits too!
This doll is so cute! I think the more "lumpy" look of the shoes, as you put it, actually lends itself to a homemade, hand crafted wooden shoe, as if the doll made them herself. She is an elf after all! Maybe they were a first try or early project for her and she wears them anyway cuz she's so proud of them! Absolutely adorable 💚

Little cultural differences like that just make me smile. The world is small, and thanks to artists, it can be made just a little cozier

She's adorable! I love her hair and the cute gingerbread details. And the shoes have a sweet handmade quality to them, like she carved them herself. While I still haven't tried customizing a doll, I have made fake gingerbread ornaments in various forms for my family members. Just for future reference, something I figured out with gumdrops is dusting them with something fine and white (glitter or in minis case microglitter works great to make it shimmery, but i've also used crumbled white floral foam mixed in paint and/or glue) really helps distinguish them as gumdrops because they usually have a bit more texture and are often sprinkled in sugar

3:00 here's a lil tip for the hot glue trouble you had! Hot glue doesn't melt and stick to Vaseline, so you can prime surfaces with Vaseline before putting hot glue on them so you can peel them off easier! (Lovely doll btw, i admire your hard work! Good job!!)

I love that the hair is solid white with red stripes added - just like how candy canes are all white inside with red stripes on the outside!
