the fact that uvie is based off of a newjeans member and fans of newjeans are called "tokki" or "bunnies" AND there's another rainbow doll named tokki is just so perfect, we've converted kathrine to the dark side!
Uvie and Ruby look like they're sisters with the same rebellious and care free personality, while Tokki is the youngest and the complete opposite, shy and cute. I love to imagine what their interactions would be like!
Now I want an inverted rainbow doll or a doll that looks like that heat-transfer mood ring material. I dig it!

I actually love that Tokki is a bit more "muted" than Uvie and Ruby! It kind of feels like the two of them have "come into themselves" a bit more as upperclassman, so their color palettes have become more pronounced. Tokki still has several years of school ahead, for her color palette to saturate a bit more as she grows up! Sounds like a cute color expression :3 She'll be a sweet pastel senpai before she knows it!

Right? Like, the older you get the more saturated your colors. It would totally work for making both younger and older versions of each color. For instance, Tokki could wind up having an older sibling of a darker shade of purple.

I LOVE that parts of Uvie's hat and pants remind me of this certain craft from when I was a kid. Rainbow scratch paper! I always loved playing with that stuff as a kid and was so amazed at the beautiful color that was hidden underneath the black!
I love how the pastel doll has most of her volume on top because of her giant hair, the bright doll has her big chunky sweater, and Uvie has her big pants!

i 100% agree i would LOVE a pair of these pants! however, if you're a crafty person, since she's selling the pattern for this doll's clothing, hypothetically you could modify the pattern and make it life size! i've been able to make some life sized clothing from doll patterns before! it's a bit of a hassle, but soso worth it imo!

Funnily enough, I also like how we got a different variety of styles with tokki having a cute and bubbly style, and ruby having a coll and cutesy style with the vibrant colors and Uvie having the cool Y2K kind of style, it really does bring out the character's personality in a way that is presented by hollow dolls
A pastel goth clown charecter with a unicycle could be so cute to add to this line/ I love seeing all these rainbow dolls, this doll turned out so cute, and hella awesome to see you come up with something so awesome after really fighting that art block, should be proud as hell! 💚

I don't really like K-Pop or K-Pop culture (because it promotes negative body image and the industry treats its groups terribly), plus I notice a lot of K-Pop groups don't do a good job of making MUSIC as they do ripping off a few music genres and slapping them together. I've only discovered a small handful of solo singers who don't fit into the stereotypical K-Pop style, and I enjoy them very much. That being said, I do want to check out Newjeans, I am always willing to give new groups a shot. I just... hope they don't pull a "K-Pop" as most industry groups do. Lol

Hey, Katherine, don't worry too much about the unpainted joints. Uvie's got variously colored stripes all over her body: the joints being different from her skin tone really only add to that! A lovely doll as always 💖
EDIT: One way you could even out Tokki among the other two could be adding a fourth doll: monochrome rainbow. Eight values of gray will help to increase the perception of Tokki's vibrancy when the monochrome rainbow stands next to her -- especially if they're in between Tokki and the other two. Plus, it'll give you another chance to use that cute unicycle idea! You could also use it as if each doll is a different grade in high school, from the freshman Tokki to the monochrome rainbow sophomore to junior Ruby to senior Uvie.
THIS! I'm so glad one of the top comments said this. There are so many comments I knew I couldn't say the idea of a trio would actually be more complete with a monochrome doll. I think it would be interesting if it were black, white, and greys.

So Tokki strikes me as a sweet, shy freshman, still sticking to the school uniform. Ruby gives confident senior vibes, who wears what makes her happy even if it looks homemade. And Uvie reminds me of a junior experimenting with alt trends. So now I think we need a sophomore in a desaturated rainbow style to round out the bunch.

I thought of perhaps a muted rainbow punk style with the unicyle as well, that way there *is* a "washed out" palette in the mix. I still adored the unicycle punk, it fits so well! But the idea of a true dark rainbow doll is really cool and I like to imagine that that doll would instead have maybe heelies? Only because then she could glide forward in a way that seems almost like she's just floating by in all her gothic ethereal glory~ would also work with a mori girl because they look so soft and foresty!
Either way, Katherine does love rainbow so I'm sure if she wants to make more she'll make something killer!

I was honestly thinking pastel rainbow goth too. I mean I'm a goth so I'm biased, but it would definitely fit the bright/dark contrast while pairing with Tokki's softer color palette.

honestly the “rainbow trio” looks like a found family of alt fashion and rainbow, with the pastel rainbow one looking like the younger sibling to her two older and more vibrant and saturated sibling figures.
they’re still exploring what works for them but it definitely helps having their outgoing friends there to support their baby alt journey!!!

That's why I prefer Katherine over other doll artists. It's not interesting seeing someone print out accessoiries on a 3D printer. Edit: You could also try something with pastel colors sprinkled in if you want it to match Tokki! I think it would be a good transition from vivid rainbow, dark rainbow, dark pastel rainbow, and full pastel rainbow

I think this is easily one of my favorite dolls so far!!! Despite the struggles, they look absolutely fantastic! Their hair with that subtle streak in the back, their adorably confident face, ESPECIALLY their clothes--they look straight out of The World Ends With You! Definitely the kind of kid I'd wanna hang out with in school.

I actually quite like the muted effect on the dyed doll. The scleras look like you painted them with glow-in-the-dark... I feel like you could take some sick trick shots using both dolls with the same outfit, or you could make the scrapped one into a grunge twin for Uvie! You did great with this one, especially considering the challenges it came with. 💙
As an artist, the artblock and not being happy with anything you make is so incredibly relatable! I'm so happy you managed to pull through. Your first designs were also amazing and I think I might have fallen in love with some of them 😳 the final result turned out amazing!

I think this doll is my absolute favourite you’ve ever made! She’s so detailed, the outfit is super cool, her colours are super pigmented and bright, ahhhh I’m obsessed! Plus the kpop influence is super fun! I’ve never really been into neon or dark rainbow aesthetic, but Uvie has me feeling otherwise!
