As much as I adore your complicated projects like your dragons and halloween dolls, I really love how in your videos for simpler projects, you have more time to really dig into the specifics and intricacies of your craft, like how rerooting works or the right motions for removing factory paint.

Alma Saon I literally do the same, if I can’t fall asleep I put on one of dollightful’s videos that I haven’t seen in a while and I’ll fall asleep 10 times out ten. It’s just so calming and relaxing to watch but at the same time kind of strange (pulling off heads, pickling them, cutting off limbs, etc.)

I love how each individual accessory can be made relatively easily with a bit of paint and charms, but how it looks so pretty that you still know how much time and effort was put into the whole doll. I also love that you put in the big mistakes in your videos to show that not everything will go perfectly. I absolutely adore your channel and all of the dolls you make and you’ve definitely inspired me (as someone who loves to draw) and kept me staying artsy.
I know most youtubers act fake and might(almost never) say they made a mistake. She is one of the best youtubers I’ve ever seen. I even started making dolls because of her. I mean i made them for Halloween because I’m not very good yet lol

I really enjoyed this doll, because with doll making you can get carried away with decor and fashion. When I first saw all the decora she was making, I thought: “that’s gonna make her look like a rainbow!” But now that I see it better, she actually looks great! She has heterochromia! I have central heterochromia, where the color around the pupil is different than the color next to the sclera. Mine have a golden brown by the pupil and a grayish bluey-green by the sclera.

@@Labyrinthe66 i think there’s overlap, but you can have one without the other. as far as i know, people will call eyes hazel whenever they’re somewhere between brown and green (even if the irises all all one uniform colour) but with central heterochromia there’s a clear difference between the two colours

I feel like you should start a "Today" collection, where you repaint dolls with plus sized bodies, dolls that have skin flaws (albinism, vitiligo etc) or people who have disabilities. It would be nice to have more variety! Especially since this year, diversity has become more apparent in 'today's' world :)

I don't know how or why but she looks goth to me. The hair, eyebrows, and teeth, all just give her a "I'm punk don't mess with me" vibe and it's adorable to see it paired with pastels. This is the most character I've ever seen you make in a doll!
Well, if I remember correctly, the punk scene of Japan (as this character is based on Japanese Street fashion) was the be overly cute rather than be spikes and all black of the west

I actually love the loss of tiny detail in the face up, it creates a very soft cartoony bubbly effect, kinda like in Steven universe and Bee and Puppycat!
Her “heavy handed” and “clunky” is probably still better than my best painting. I can never get my hands steady enough.

Yeah, a lot of her custom dolls are dolls she bought off eBay, probably from a parent cleaning out their kid's old toys. It's funny to think how she takes discarded childhood memories and gives them new life.

Owwww, I love her. The face looks calm and shy but full of personality nonetheless. I think it goes extremely well with the angel wings and together it makes for such a sweet, soft, dreamy and fun vibe. I customized my first ever doll I named her Ayoki. She is based on harajuku style. I love her and spent 5 hours on her. Now I know why dollightul love doing this so much.

I was just thinking the same thing! I know she did Tatsuo that one time, but I'd be really interested in seeing more characters of that nature in her style, not that I don't love the bright colors and pastels
