It is a hard question to answer for me as I truly do not know what my grander goal is for this life I've been gifted with. There are short-term goals, like getting my degree, finding a job after that, marriage, children, my own house but an overarching goal? No, sadly. Aldia is the Dark Souls 2 equivalent of Senator Armstrong in my opinion. Not only do they ask or question our own beliefs but also pose several questions that are hard for us to answer. They wish to change the world for the better as their vision sees it. They even share a few attacks during their respective fights. They both even steal the show when they finally turn up. They also seem to have a fascination with eggs. Whether it be dealing with MAKING THE MOTHER OF ALL OMELETTES or dealing with the yoke of fate.
Yoke, not yolk. A yoke is a tool for binding oxen together so they can pull a plow for tilling fields. To be yoked is to be tied or bound to something; bound to this fate or unfortunate destiny.

this is perhaps the most EPIC dark souls video i've ever seen... u seem to be philosophically inclined, my friend... is there any specific philosophy or belief you'd say aldia closely aligns with?
A lot of gnostism can be summarized as "find the divine spark in yourself and acknowledge the illusory nature of material reality" which has a number of consistent themes across all of Dark Souls
After Elden Ring release, I can confirm that there's simply not other character that you could do a video like this. For real, Aldia has such good dialogue that's just incomparable with others characters. Aldia presents questions about life itself, makes you think about your own goals and morals. There's simply no other character like that in any from software game
I'm not sure what it is I seek, or what my purpose is in this world. But I wish to be like Michael the archangel, coincidentally Michael is also my name. I want to be a leader, a protector, someone who guides others safely to their purpose. Even if I'm only a guide for the greater purpose of others. That is still my wish
Honestly, I don't remember. Probably to add some weight to the 'truly'. I believe the pause is very similar in the original lines, tho. Thanks for the comment :-)

should have more views, too bad.
amazing work
Hey, does anyone know where the “do you see what that means, to be alive, to walk this earth..” passage comes from? Is that an NPC or an Aldia excerpt from an obscure manga?
the NPC in majula, the one that gives u the covenant of blue
this is perhaps the most EPIC dark souls video i've ever seen... u seem to be philosophically inclined, my friend... is there any specific philosophy or belief you'd say aldia closely aligns with?
A lot of gnostism can be summarized as "find the divine spark in yourself and acknowledge the illusory nature of material reality" which has a number of consistent themes across all of Dark Souls
Just like Ashen One, i'm still here. What is the background soundtrack name?
Hello, Felwinter. Glad you still here :) Look for "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven, the song is the very first movement
I loved this, are there more videos like this? With other such souls characters perhaps? I would love to watch more
missed opportunity to use his actual theme as the BG music
Mr Earl, what or who (someone or something) is the second image?
It's Crestfallen Saulden in the comic "Dark Souls II: Into the Light". Very different from the game, he basically wears other armour in the comic :-)
@@earlkzb thank you young hollow
I certainly hope you do something similar for Elden Ring once it releases.
Please do it if some line strikes you !
After Elden Ring release, I can confirm that there's simply not other character that you could do a video like this. For real, Aldia has such good dialogue that's just incomparable with others characters. Aldia presents questions about life itself, makes you think about your own goals and morals. There's simply no other character like that in any from software game
yo, will you make one of these for elden ring also? I mean elden ring doesn't even come close to dark souls in cool dialogues but still..
I would like to make a Spanish dub but i don't know what it's the sound effects what has used for Aldia's voice
Estaría genial
Creo son voces super puestas en partes y un distorsionador
whats the art at 3:14
Impressive
you could make a religion out of this
I'm not sure what it is I seek, or what my purpose is in this world. But I wish to be like Michael the archangel, coincidentally Michael is also my name. I want to be a leader, a protector, someone who guides others safely to their purpose. Even if I'm only a guide for the greater purpose of others. That is still my wish
Masterpiece
Okay, but what is this other picture? One that like from manga or something.
Somebody Know any Books or autor with this kind of Feeling?
Do you see what that means?
Why did you cut off the "truly" after the "do you have what it take,"
Honestly, I don't remember. Probably to add some weight to the 'truly'. I believe the pause is very similar in the original lines, tho. Thanks for the comment :-)
what's the song name?
th-cam.com/video/dQw4w9WgXcQ/w-d-xo.html
"Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven, the song is the very first movement
@@earlkzb yes, the same song that i put in the link

beautiful
Young Hollow or young Tarnished do you seek to end this curse?
Why Aldia looks like Dante?
Dark souls 1 and 3 from what i can tell are the main story while dark souls 2 is like the filler of it as we find out about a dlc bosses(manus) spawn and what they did it's like ds2 left a small impact on the main lore in general but left a huge impact on us the players thats at least my interpatation of it ,thats why we see more of ds1 fanservice in ds3 and less ds2.
lmfao "ds2 is filler"
ds2 is the only game that matters in the series, lorewise and mechanically.
it is THE genre defining title, influenced bloodborne, sekiro, elden ring.
miyazaki himself said this.
Can I use this audio?
I want to make a video where I add parts of people following e girls, girls causing more simps, etc. It's such a great piece
Of course, do whatever you want (I am honestly curious to the outcome of this).
@@earlkzb Same, that shit sounds absolutely wack and without context lmao
moonlight sonata
