I love that they're putting in fun stores like mini-so and gachapon! There's also a cool cotton candy machine and a new lassi-fusion boba chai place. They're getting really cool stores now, I'm looking forward to what they do. Maybe a Round 1?
At the time it was Marshall Fields, which was owned by Dayton Hudson’s, then Fields was bought by Federated, then all the locations were rebranded as Macys

No internet no Amazon,no internet no social media,no internet no ordering everything from food to groceries,no iternet no constant texting/screen time stupid ordinary people becoming famous for nothing.this person was correct the creation of the Internet will eventually be the cause of mass suffering I could see this becoming a world like the surrogates movie where everybody’s just in an online reality nobody doing anything in the real world and it’s sad.

Dang it, Macy's had the best resturant there in addition to Somerset and Lakeside 💕 Maurice Salad and Popover 💯

Wow I almost forgot Lakeside Mall closed down except for the Macy’s last year. This is just insane

Im not Surprised! When i was shopping their back in 2010& even in 2015 there was talk about them closing Then
Von Maur? 🤞
It said there were 2 Macys closures in metro Detroit. If one is in oakland mall, where is the other one?
Somerset Mall
Lakeside Mall
12 Oaks, Novi
The other Macy's location that is closing is at the "former" Lakeside Mall. Fox 2 reported it.
@NikiiBabie I thought lakeside was already closed, back in the summer
Location, location, location matters. There are Macy’s thriving in other parts of the country.
And?
Yea one is 5 miles up the road at Sommerset
That sucks i love that store
I’m, 38 and it seems like Macys has been at deaths door my whole life. I will miss Macys and I feel like this will affect TJ Max.

another one hanging on by a thread....
My vote go for an h mart / sauna bath house / large luxury spa
Oakland mall will be no more in the next 10 years. There is simply not enough commerce to be had at this location.
