      I have the BR430 and wouldn’t go back to a hand held ( maybe as a backup) mine came with a Velcro strap to hold the tube vertical as standard, it’s poor on Stihl if they have started to leave out a cheap but handy piece of kit. It dries my Crafter in seconds after washing. Keep up the great work bootneck!

    Bought it this year. I have the little BR200 backpack and it's great but I needed more power for my 3.5 acres. The 600 is a beast alright but that 23lbs is tough on a 73 year old back. Make sure you get the upper straps high on your back. I wish the lower strap had a clip to make it easier to mount. I set it on my picnic table so I don't have to man handle it on.

    A great bit of kit to compliment your existing tools Rob and no regrets from me after buying one last year. I totally agree about the shoulder straps and i just use a large rubber tree tie to stop it twisting when in use, plus can be used to keep the nozzle out the way whilst in the van. Keep up the great work and looking forward to move vids.

    Nice purchase👍Have to agree with doubling up on kit, no stopping for breakdowns, I've got back ups for back ups and carry 2 of everything on the van. I prefer the straight pipe over the curved tho, you'll feel that after prolonged use💪

      Like you mentioned in a previous video,
      I couldn’t justify spending over £1000 on a 19’ mower, I’m currently using a Mountfield S501RPD
      For the lawns I’ve got it’s done a great job, over the last two years or so. Steel roller, but not too heavy, twinclip blade, 7 height settings, adjustable handle. It leaves a great finish in dry or damp conditions. Doesn’t collect well in the wet, but I try to avoid working in the rain if I can anyway.
      If I get another two years out of it with no issues, I’d buy the same again.

    Hi Rob. Also a BR600 user and very happy with it. I`m sure you will find that come Autumn it will be a joy. A little surprised that you didn`t go for the BR800 as they aren`t a hole bunch more and are a combination of the BR600/700. As you say, the 600 are enough for most jobs. Glad you feel it was a wise choice.

      Own both blowers and they are good. The Br-600 is not on par with the 800- X. Wait till spring 2022 when sthil release the BR - 900 is what a dealer told me. It's going to be interesting.

    • @johnb8956
      @johnb8956 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      With the 600 being a few years older they’ve had the chance to iron out some of the issues that it originated with, so it is more reliable. The 800 for example has had issues with rattling itself apart and cracking various components, even including the the base of the engine block.
      As for the 600/700, the 600 has the higher blowing speed, the 700 has the higher output. That means that for doing smaller amounts of leaves/ grass etc. you’re actually better off with the 600. The 700 pulls ahead when you’re moving heavy quantities of debris as it can move more/ minute. As you said the 800 is a combination. The reliability of these two units do mean they can still more than hold their own over the 800.
      I do also say all this as a happy 800 owner!

If you do the same as me , always empty fuel tank and run till it will cut out , then restart so all fuel is empty , next season refuel & it normally starts by 3 rd attempt , then normal all season . Hi Rob another great video mate I watched it all before commenting. Personally I think this is a really bad design by STIHL. The truth is that the older model was a lot better it had a straight pipe instead of being curved. We do a lot of road sweeping in the Autumn from all the leaves fallen in business parks . We might be using it all day as in 8 hours nearly in 1 go. not great on your back but still the lightest brand. The reason I say bad design is because when you use it on full power it pushes your arm back and you have to wrestle with it to keep it in position because of that narrow bend in the bottom of the pipe. Also your dead right about the strap I did the same thing with a bunji strap across.

    Good video Rob 👍. I bought a Stihl BR420 back pack blower nearly 20years ago.....and it's still going strong and gets used all the time for commercial contracts. If you look after your kit it will last well.
    You will use yours more in time. Now you need to build a shelf in your van for all your new purchases!
    I've been in the gardening game for 22years so I suppose I'm an 'old timer' now, but it's interesting to see how you 'newbies' do it 😂.

    Hi Rob thats a great bit of kit, you probably know this but its best to put Stihl HP ultra 2 stroke oil in that machine. The engine is a 4 mix and has valves like a four stroke the other Stihl oils will be fine but as its new best to use Ultra as it will last longer long term. regards James.
