    If you are going to spend over 500 on a blower, you might as well just spend the extra money and get the 800. I just bought one myself. First time home buyer with .78 acre and tons of trees. I didnt want to regret not spending an extra 120 or something for more power.

    Just got the 800 C and the "C"omfort features are awesome and IMO are far better than the X without them. Keep it tuned up and the side start works like a champ.

      The hip belt is wonderful and takes almost all the weight off of the shoulders! The Easy-Start is convenient once you learn that you don't have to jerk the cord. I start mine on the ground and let it warm up. I stop it then strap it on and then start it again - so easy!

    Stihl make excellent leaf blowers, I've used many over the years and they have always been great. I currently use a Husqvarna 580 BTS, which is also excellent! Personally, I think Stihl and Husqvarna, make the best equipment on the market, you can't go wrong with either brand!!!

      I agree. I too have used both. I do prefer the Stihl stuff mainly because of the dealer support.

      It all depends on who’s got the most dealers in your area! I’m not brand loyal and use both Echo and Stihl! Stihl I only use for chainsaws!

    The br800 is the best. Here's why I say this. The changeable tip is what makes it universal. If you remove the tip you have leaf pile mover. Put the factory tip and now u can move boulders. Purchase the br450 tip and now you have lawn service clean-up. With the br450 tip you can idle and clean mulch beds without removing the mulch. Just idling removes light grass clippings and leaves.

    I’m in the middle of doing my research, so great timing. I was so hoping you were going to pick the 600, because that’s where I’m leaning right now. Glad to see you back - I hope you’re doing well.

    • @bluvoodoo1142
      @bluvoodoo1142 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Go 800. I also take care of 2 acres and have a lot of leaves. This thing is a beast but if it had even more power I would take it. When leaves are dry things go well. When they are damp or wet you'll be wishing for that extra power the 800 has.

    I purchased the BR 600 in 2015, it was the top of the range backpack blower in the Stihl catalog at the time. I've never had any engine trouble with it and it's performed flawlessly over the last seven years. That being said there are some things that I don't like about it. The most annoying and biggest design flaw on the BR 600 is the tube adjustment. It's terrible to be honest, I had to file some of the plastic protusions down so I could get the tube extension on and off for storage purposes. The orange plastic locking collar on the B.R 800 looks to be the solution. Also there isn't a chest strap on the B.R 600 which would link the two shoulder straps together. Also the waist belt sits too high up, it's more of a belly band. The waist belt should ride lower on the hips with the buckle in front of the buckle on your trouser belt. I have a buyer for my B.R 600 and will be buying the B.R 800CE. The electric start looks great plus the tube adjustment and harness improvements, 👍🌲🇮🇪
