Doubt it. The Fate series is equal and has been since Fate/Zero over a decade ago. Basically no anime has lived up to that. Ufotable makes some truly incredible animation at the cost of incredible minimal content released. Compare their last 3 years with Mappa and it’s obvious why Ufotable looks so good.
There is one point you need to keep in mind when watching anime. Calling someone "Grandpa" doesn't always mean "MY GRANDPA". This can often be used to describe an old man. Similarly, the word "ossan" means if I remember correctly a man around 40, but also in slang it means "father". Likewise, not all oni-chan, one-san etc will mean siblings, only relationships between persons. And young children often say that to teenagers, for example.
He isn’t elder of the village, he is just an elder. Tanjiro is polite so he refers to elders as such, whereas a character like Inosuke will call old people gramps and hag yk??
/NOT A SPOILER/ It's great that you're watching the two shows of the moment, Attack on Titan which has in my opinion one of the best writings in all of anime along with the scenery the music and the animation, it's just beautiful, it is crucial for you not to get spoiled simply because the author has literally mastered plot developpement, if you thought you had gotten enough plot twists already... Oh boy just so you wait lmao. And in the other end you have Demon Slayer made by UFOTABLE and it is simply the pinnacle of animation, there's just no studio that does it better than them at the moment they're blending both cgi and 2d animation in their work that's why it looks so smooth. The only cgi I don't mind watching tbf. Sadly I've heard that the ending fall rather short due to personnal reason (family issues) leading the author to end the manga a little too soon and rushing the ending. That left a lot of people disappointed but you can't really blame her. It is sad because if you think about it Demon Slayer might have been remembered for a great story aswell, sadly even for me I think the story telling and a few other things fall short but nonetheless this is animation like you'll never see anywhere else. Anyways, I love your reactions and I'm having a blast seeing you discover the vast world of anime. Keep on doing what you love, cause we all loving this ride, you got all my support!
The show takes place in the early 1900's right around WWI, the are where Tanjiro lives is more rural so it's not as advanced. And without spoilers, Season 2 Demon Slayer has some INSANE animation! Probably the best I've ever seen.

Watch Fate fights that is adapted by Ufotable in Fate/Zero, Fate/Unlimited Blade Works and Fate/Heaven Feels 1-3, they have even better animation than Demon Slayer.
Season 1 is fantastic but once you get to Mugen Train and the Entertainment District Arc is solidified itself as one of the best anime adaptions out there right now

This show stars off kinda slow (it’s still really good) but when the show picks up you won’t regret watching it. The animation in the fights is top tier. I really hope you stick with this show in my opinion it’s a simple concept they developed into a masterpiece and almost all the important characters are unforgettable

Steins;Gate is pretty cool. It’s only 25 or so episodes, and it takes a while to fall in love with the character, but you do fall in love with the characters

This is one of the wildest first episodes😭. Also MINOR sidenote that never really gets explained: because of the Demon Slayers, the world believes that demons are just a fairy tale made up to discipline children when they're being naughty. Almost every single person in the show has never seen a demon, unless they're the ones hunting them.
Demon Slayer is a great series! While it doesn't have a crazy story or as much character depth(atleast IMO) of something like Attack on Titan, it has a really fun cast, some really emotional scenes and top tier animation. Hoping this doesn't mean that AoT will slow down but I'm excited for you to check this one out :D

Tanjiro Kamado is voiced by Natsuki Hanae, and he's one of the most popular voice actors in the industry. He has such an emotional voice, and serious range. He's great!
Hell of an emotional journey for this show. Because they turned the movie they made into a 7 episode arc you wouldnt even need to watch that meaning there is less than 50 episode to watch to get caught up. amazing show. amazing visuals and the storytelling is fanominal.

Me toooo the voice acting is beautiful. Their friendships are crazy but beautiful. The humour is on point all the time. Nezuko and Tanjiro's relationship is to die for. The animation is beautiful. The fights.. anticipation.. cliffhangers.. excitingness.. everything is amazing. The plot is good too. Not the best but I still absolutely love it. Sometimes simplicity is the best.. here is one of those animes
The show opens with the MC carrying his unconscious and bloodied sister on his back while running through the snowy mountains, then cuts back to before that happened. Something horrible is clearly about to happen. Granted that doesn't mean there would be the wholesale slaughter of his whole family, though the way they were introduced it didn't look good for them.

What I really like about SNK is the story, it is really well written, a genius if I have to say. This anime should really get Live in Action from Netflix with 6 seasons. :D

I first watched demon slayer and was kinda sad when i saw the last episode because i thought there would be no more other anime i havent seen and would also be top tier. Until i gave black clover a try because of this youtubers video reaction Black Catcher. BC >>> Demon Slayer except for the animation which is better in demon slayer. But i d take a better story build up, more interesting characters, villains, tactical fightings, great pacing, excellent use of magic system and a large world to take place in than a better animation. Although i love both and demon slayer still only 26 ep far, Black clover is just damn good. And btw, there is also fullmetal alchemist brotherhood to watch which is one of my all time favorite anime

I find that shows like Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, Re Zero all have the same things in common; emotional voice work, beautiful music, and spectacular animation quality. It all comes together to create something that will leave a lasting impression, even on those who may not watch anime exclusively.

I just started Demon Slayer the other day and I'm already up to about episode 14. It's been really good so far. I like that it's not all doom and gloom. There is humor and light hearted moments mixed in. The battles are really cool and the animation is amazing!
Keep watching lol. If you have been loving it so far, you ain't ready for what's to come. Also watch Mugen Train Arc in episode format instead of watching the movie

i got re-introduced to anime with this one, I promise you you'll love how complete this anime is, full of emotion, action and great character development...and also, is really fun! It may not be as top quality storytelling like attack on titan, but is one of the best soo far!
Albeit this show having a lot of comedic moment it is sure as hell not afraid to get gory and emotional, can't wait to see your future reactions to this as well as Attack On Titan.
Demon slayer is the best anime out there (imo), the soundtracks, the voice actor, the animation, the storyline, the individual characteristics, EVERYTHING IS PERFECTTT. The best thing is how they make the story is in meiji era, it shows a lot of japanese culture.

People said it is overrated because of its popularity, but I disagree. Popular doesn't mean that it's bad. Simpler story doesn't mean it's bad. DS has great characters, good story, amazing fighting scene and outstanding animation. It is worth the hype! Not to mention Tanjirou is best boy , best older bro, he has been my favourite😊

Bruh, why people hating on Demon Slayer I mean I do admit that the story is mediocre but the animation is one of the best. AOT has a good story and animation but for me the ending kinda feels unsatisfying. I still prefer DS over AOT though

Ufotable is easily one of the top in terms of animation, where most studios will outsource parts of the anime, at ufotable everything is done in house and they've been making this style of anime for like 10 years now so they've got there style perfected

Doubt it. The Fate series is equal and has been since Fate/Zero over a decade ago. Basically no anime has lived up to that.
Ufotable makes some truly incredible animation at the cost of incredible minimal content released. Compare their last 3 years with Mappa and it’s obvious why Ufotable looks so good.
There is one point you need to keep in mind when watching anime. Calling someone "Grandpa" doesn't always mean "MY GRANDPA". This can often be used to describe an old man. Similarly, the word "ossan" means if I remember correctly a man around 40, but also in slang it means "father". Likewise, not all oni-chan, one-san etc will mean siblings, only relationships between persons. And young children often say that to teenagers, for example.

He isn’t elder of the village, he is just an elder. Tanjiro is polite so he refers to elders as such, whereas a character like Inosuke will call old people gramps and hag yk??

/NOT A SPOILER/ It's great that you're watching the two shows of the moment, Attack on Titan which has in my opinion one of the best writings in all of anime along with the scenery the music and the animation, it's just beautiful, it is crucial for you not to get spoiled simply because the author has literally mastered plot developpement, if you thought you had gotten enough plot twists already... Oh boy just so you wait lmao. And in the other end you have Demon Slayer made by UFOTABLE and it is simply the pinnacle of animation, there's just no studio that does it better than them at the moment they're blending both cgi and 2d animation in their work that's why it looks so smooth. The only cgi I don't mind watching tbf. Sadly I've heard that the ending fall rather short due to personnal reason (family issues) leading the author to end the manga a little too soon and rushing the ending. That left a lot of people disappointed but you can't really blame her. It is sad because if you think about it Demon Slayer might have been remembered for a great story aswell, sadly even for me I think the story telling and a few other things fall short but nonetheless this is animation like you'll never see anywhere else.

The show takes place in the early 1900's right around WWI, the are where Tanjiro lives is more rural so it's not as advanced. And without spoilers, Season 2 Demon Slayer has some INSANE animation! Probably the best I've ever seen.

@@Woolint Yes, progression is very important, but it's just as or even more important for that progression to be fun and engaging all the way. *PERSONALLY*, I really didn't give a crap about Tanjiro meeting these demons and killing them, until episode 19, when it clicked for me.
Watch Fate fights that is adapted by Ufotable in Fate/Zero, Fate/Unlimited Blade Works and Fate/Heaven Feels 1-3, they have even better animation than Demon Slayer.
I'd say its later in the Taisho period as they show Model-Ts later on... at least in the manga
They blend cgi with traditional 2d animation in this so well it really elevates the experience

Demon Slayer and Attack On Titan are two of the best shows you could watch right now
This show stars off kinda slow (it’s still really good) but when the show picks up you won’t regret watching it. The animation in the fights is top tier. I really hope you stick with this show in my opinion it’s a simple concept they developed into a masterpiece and almost all the important characters are unforgettable

Also MINOR sidenote that never really gets explained: because of the Demon Slayers, the world believes that demons are just a fairy tale made up to discipline children when they're being naughty. Almost every single person in the show has never seen a demon, unless they're the ones hunting them.
Ufotable's animation is in a league of it's own and somehow they just keep outdoing themselves, can't wait for the next season of Demon Slayer.
Demon Slayer is a great series! While it doesn't have a crazy story or as much character depth(atleast IMO) of something like Attack on Titan, it has a really fun cast, some really emotional scenes and top tier animation. Hoping this doesn't mean that AoT will slow down but I'm excited for you to check this one out :D

Hell of an emotional journey for this show. Because they turned the movie they made into a 7 episode arc you wouldnt even need to watch that meaning there is less than 50 episode to watch to get caught up. amazing show. amazing visuals and the storytelling is fanominal.

Me toooo the voice acting is beautiful. Their friendships are crazy but beautiful. The humour is on point all the time. Nezuko and Tanjiro's relationship is to die for. The animation is beautiful. The fights.. anticipation.. cliffhangers.. excitingness.. everything is amazing.
The plot is good too. Not the best but I still absolutely love it.

The show opens with the MC carrying his unconscious and bloodied sister on his back while running through the snowy mountains, then cuts back to before that happened. Something horrible is clearly about to happen. Granted that doesn't mean there would be the wholesale slaughter of his whole family, though the way they were introduced it didn't look good for them.
man i’m stoked for you to watch this. i would recommend Jujutsu Kaisen also. AoT, Demon Slayer, and JJK are the trio i recommend to people dipping their toes into anime

I first watched demon slayer and was kinda sad when i saw the last episode because i thought there would be no more other anime i havent seen and would also be top tier. Until i gave black clover a try because of this youtubers video reaction Black Catcher. BC >>> Demon Slayer except for the animation which is better in demon slayer. But i d take a better story build up, more interesting characters, villains, tactical fightings, great pacing, excellent use of magic system and a large world to take place in than a better animation. Although i love both and demon slayer still only 26 ep far, Black clover is just damn good.
And btw, there is also fullmetal alchemist brotherhood to watch which is one of my all time favorite anime

I find that shows like Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, Re Zero all have the same things in common; emotional voice work, beautiful music, and spectacular animation quality. It all comes together to create something that will leave a lasting impression, even on those who may not watch anime exclusively.

I see where the characters having no depth is coming from, the characters are usually caricatures of themselves, but when they do take time for character, I think they do it pretty well, like when Zenitsu fights the Spider or Rui reuniting with his parents

There has been more than one time that I knew a show was going to hook me before I even started watching. Welcome to the anime community, we have some CRAZY good stuff if you look in the right places. This is one of those places.
I just started Demon Slayer the other day and I'm already up to about episode 14. It's been really good so far. I like that it's not all doom and gloom. There is humor and light hearted moments mixed in. The battles are really cool and the animation is amazing!
Keep watching lol. If you have been loving it so far, you ain't ready for what's to come. Also watch Mugen Train Arc in episode format instead of watching the movie

i got re-introduced to anime with this one, I promise you you'll love how complete this anime is, full of emotion, action and great character development...and also, is really fun! It may not be as top quality storytelling like attack on titan, but is one of the best soo far!

Albeit this show having a lot of comedic moment it is sure as hell not afraid to get gory and emotional, can't wait to see your future reactions to this as well as Attack On Titan.
Demon slayer is the best anime out there (imo), the soundtracks, the voice actor, the animation, the storyline, the individual characteristics, EVERYTHING IS PERFECTTT. The best thing is how they make the story is in meiji era, it shows a lot of japanese culture.

Demon Slayer is shonen genre, so its story plot would not be as complex as Aot, but it is good too. People said it is overrated because of its popularity, but I disagree. Popular doesn't mean that it's bad. Simpler story doesn't mean it's bad. DS has great characters, good story, amazing fighting scene and outstanding animation. It is worth the hype! Not to mention Tanjirou is best boy , best older bro, he has been my favourite😊

I enjoy listening to the original voices again for anime. My focus has been shot to hell these past few months and I've not been able to focus on reading. As much i love the effort put in by the dubbed cast, It's nice to hear the Japanese again.

If you want to see a show with great animated food, watch "Food Wars" (or go look up images of "Food Wars Food", it looks good). This episode was chill, didn't you see all the snow? Also, how long do you guys think it will be before he goes to a convention? I give him a year
Definitely food wars is a perfect show for you to get into the less violent, but still fire side of anime

This is definitely one of the best anime to start on. The music, animation, voice acting, and story are all stellar. After season 1, I’d advise to watch the movie before starting season 2. Can’t wait to see more reactions of this
The voice acting cast of aot and ds were the anime which got me into watching sub from dub. First was aot and then ds. Ds voice acting cast is just goated

Bruh, why people hating on Demon Slayer I mean I do admit that the story is mediocre but the animation is one of the best. AOT has a good story and animation but for me the ending kinda feels unsatisfying. I still prefer DS over AOT though

In my point of view, the story is ok, animation is great and I liked it However, I never compare this anime with aot ,people are doing this a lot of time recently and I dont understand. Aot is perfect but these two anime are different.

Ufotable is easily one of the top in terms of animation, where most studios will outsource parts of the anime, at ufotable everything is done in house and they've been making this style of anime for like 10 years now so they've got there style perfected

i do think the animation is over rated and isn't the best but it's still up there
