Unbelievable, just unbelievable! I loved the entire video. The hotel, dining, and the multiple pools were fantastic. The scenic hikes were exquisite. The prices were extremely reasonable too. The Papallacta Resort is definitely a tourist destination!

You got sunshine! When I was there it was totally socked in with fog, cloud and rain. Like so much of Ecuador, all it takes is some daylight to go from nice to spectacular! I could have sat under the waterfall in those throne seats for hours. I had some delicious trucha for $8.00 in Mindo yesterday. Just papas on the side though. I also had great beef in Santo Domingo. Any time you see two rabbits, there are actually 30 rabbits, LOL.
We has sun for about an hour, I scrambled to get some shots before the clouds inevitably moved in. I kind of like the mist and cloud better. I don't worry about burning and it looks mystical on camera 😁
Oh, yet another stunning place to visit. I would normally run far away from hotels and, find a smaller and more private place but, this place "speak" to me in a way that makes me want to visit, like the hiking trails in the area does..and the food - smums 😊 Thanks so much for sharing
They are also so committed to the community and really help out with local programs and lend supplies, even their small tractor when needed. It's a special place.

Had you check La Nariz del Diablo? When you take the train to Ala Usi you see it. Do not know if trains are running any more but if so, check it out. Beautiful view.
Nunca he ido a esas termas y se ven preciosas, solo he ido a las de Cuenca pero era bien pequeña que casi no recuerdo y las de Baños xD las empanadas de yuca solo las he visto en los supermercados ya congeladas, me encantaría probar una recién hechas! por cierto si te gusta mucho la yuca en los campos de la costa sobretodo en manabi se hacen torta de yuca y también está el tambor de yuca que lo hacen con panela y es dulce, en la provincia de Carchi, en la parroquia tufiño hacen un dulce llamado tufiño cerca de la frontera con Colombia y es es parecido al tambor, no lo he probado pero me dicen que es bueno! Y como siempre muy buen video ya me dio ganas de ir allá, se ve increíble!!
También he estado en las termas de Cuenca pero no se comparan. Este es un lugar tan especial. Estoy en Manabí ahora, así que buscaré esas tortas de yuca.
@@ayngelina Claro me imagino! Si ya con ver ese video las termas de papallacta lo supera, es un lugar de solo pura naturaleza! Lo del tambor y la torta de yuca espero que lo consigas ya que hoy en día es mas difícil encontrarlas y solo se encuentran en los campos o cantones pequeños de la provincia, muchas comidas típicas están desapareciendo y se lo reemplaza con comida chatarra ! Como un señor manaba me dijo una vez, antes en su tierra era muy común en todas las fiestas que consumían la chicha de maíz manaba, ahora en la fiesta consumen solo gaseosas o jugos artificiales, ya casi no se ve esa chicha, nunca lo he probado tampoco :( Que te vaya bien en el viaje y disfrutalo!

@@ayngelina Having seen your videos, if I had a local business in Ecuador (I don't), I'd go out of my way to motivate you you on site with your camera. Someone like you can genuinely help positively tilt the scales toward a well deserving of praise, but otherwise obscure location.
Wow that is a big piece of trout. The last time I got half the size for $24 at bonefish grill with a few florets of broccoli and carrots here in Florida. The fish taste fishy and I leave hungry. To be honest, I haven’t eaten trout for over 2 years.

Whoa that is expensive fish! I find trout in Ecuador can go either way. By far this was the best one I'd tried.

We stayed at Hotel Bronx but it was not special or central, just an economical spot for us to sleep.
