I cannot believe how good this video was. The scenery of out of this world. This is one of your best videos of Ecuador. Andres did an excellent job of coaching you to the top of the mountain!
Thank so much Bodvar. I knew it would be the most challenging hike but neither of us expected this. Andres is always has a good combination of support but also tough love.
This video was so good, Ayngelina, thanks for sharing! And thanks to Andres for his great coaching and support that led you to the achievements of this new goal. 💕
My goodness Ayngelina what a hike! The views were worth the stretch. Thanks for making the content of this video available to us. Andres was a great support, he definitely had your back! Thanks Andres👏
Oh! This was extreme! You just showed what you're made of. Congratulations, you did it. I'm exhausted just looking. 👏🏻👏🏻 👏🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻. Btw, scenery is just breathtaking 🇪🇨
Another outstanding video! I'm a subscriber, and thank you for taking the time to upload text file transcripts when you publish. I wonder if other TH-camrs in South America realize this presents value to potential subscribers?
@@ayngelina Great question. I recall you saying that it's a big help if comments are posted within the 1st 3 hours, so I did this 1st. We were able to watch the entire video about 2 hours ago. The subtitles appeared well timed, and didn't seem to present any quirks. The only videos where we've noticed a "freeze" were the Q&A, and the Non Cruise Galápagos video. I think the only video we haven't watched together yet is the 45 minute "15 Foods you can't miss". th-cam.com/video/LLsLlpe09KQ/w-d-xo.html We look forward to it.
Fantastic video!! I knew around the 8:19 mark that I could never do this trail - I'd roll down the side of the mountain for sure. Your mom must close her eyes seeing you hike those tricky parts. Kudos to you! The llamas were beautiful - so great that you could get such a closeup view. And you made me choke up around 18:42. Really enjoyed this one Ayngelina!
It's not as steep as you think. Like where Andres had lunch I couldn't sit because that cliff made me want to vomit. But the rest of it was more like a steep hill.
Me too! Although there was no turning back after we hit the half way mark. Sometimes if Andres and I are arguing about something he'll say "do we need to go back to Quilotoa?" and I'll laugh because I did it once and that was enough.
An absolutely marvelous video. Thank you. I have been watching your stuff for awhile and you continue to produce some of the best of EC... and I have been studying EC for 5+ years because I plan to move there as soon as I can. Your vids are so vibrant and refreshing because you combine your honesty with excellent production values. Don't change a thing but take a listen to your audio on it's high end. Gets a little too bright on some of your vids... might want tone that down a little. Just a nitpick . Keep up the great work!
Beautiful video and way to push through even if you had to have a motivator. I found myself with many tears throughout because it breaks my heart to know that people can just dump an animal like that. Mama seemed to stick with you for such a long time.

Wow Ayngelina - you DID it 😊 You look.like I did when I was hiking the Dolomites in Italy....4 kilometers above sea level...and I still have the Andes to do ...pyw..🥴😄 Please tell me, this woman from whom you bought something to drink, almost at the top, does she walk up there every day?? If so, she is absolutely amazing!!
@@ayngelina oh, what a job to have..she must be such a good person.... Even with only 30 minutes walk and probably many visitors every day, the place must be lonely now and then..but ok, a good spot for some solitary/philosophical thinking 😊
Hello! We saw your video and came to Pujili but they don’t have a mercado .. how far from the Quilotoa is pujili? I think we may be on the wrong one.. Thanks
Pujili does have a mercado but it's a little bit disguised as it looks like a regular building. They call it the boat. Depending on how fast you drive it's about 80 minutes.
Congratulations! That was some hike. The trail looked so narrow with sheer cliffs. I would have been terrified of the heights. I was terrified just watching you from the safety of my home! The scenery was very beautiful though. I thought I saw in one of your videos that you are afraid of heights? I feel so bad for the dogs. I hate to see any stray or hungry animal. Thank you for showing us Ecuador.
I am terrified of heights! But because we were on a hill rather than drop off cliffs it was possible. But when we were eating those sandwiches I couldn't sit next to Andres because it was too close to a cliff

Gorgeous video, special place! There are places I fully accept that I will never see, and this is one of them. Not only the altitude, but those crazy cliff edge trails.... nope! But I sure am grateful for others sharing their experience, you did a great job tackling this, and Andres' support is beautiful, what a great friend! That hornado looks heavenly... do you have a recommendation for hornado in Loja? I have got to try it!
He literally pushed me up the hill a few times. I think it looked scarier than it was. It wasn't a steep drop but if you fell there was land underneath you.
You did an excellent job giving us a true virtual experience. This looked quite a bit more difficult than we would have imagined. We've not contacted Andrés on our end, however is it safe to say he's seen a significant uptick in business since you initiated filming in Ecuador? Aside from tours, do you know if he offers facilitator type services?
I give you a lot of credit for completing that hike. I'm not sure I would do it. For me the steep drop-offs with no guard rails would likely be too much. I am afraid of heights.
I am terrified of heights. But I don't go near the edge. A lot of times there were hills below. But not when we had a sandwich, Andrés was sitting on a cliff and I was five feet back.
I still don't live anywhere, I'm too afraid of commitment. But when Andres and I aren't on road trips I do go back to Cuenca as it's where his family has hostals and I stay in one of the suites.
Wow! Good Hike! I couldn't have done it, with or without Andres. I am still having altitude sickness after four months. The dogs break my heart, though! How can someone drop off a dog at the heights like that??????? There will be karmic justice for this. Ecuador is a place of such beautiful sites, but the people don't treat their animals well.
