Man, seeing the displayport cable connected to another card really reminds me of the super early days of 3d accelerators, where you had to actually plug the monitor output from your regular video card into your 3d accelerator, and then plug your monitor into it. Really old-school style stuff.

Im the biggest computer geek in the world, but I don't understand what thunderbolt is. I wish you could make a video about the understanding of thunderbolt. I have the new Asus sabertooth Mach 3 motherboard and it has thunderbolt also and I don't know how to use it
a thunderbolt connector is basically a high performance multiplexing interface that (depending on your motherboard) can interface directly with the cpu (usb has to be routed through the pch).
Thunderbolt is really an interesting connection, in that it's link bandwidth is not shared between upstream and downstream. so when a cable says its 20gbps its 20gbps of writing and reading at the same time. In contrast Usb is shared and data flowing down 1 direction takes away the available pool of the interface. This is great for some VERY data intensive peripherals like external raid arrays, and some audio interfaces. Traditional things like flash drives and mice are just overkill for thunderbolt. In a sense thunderbolt is much like the modern version of what expresscard used to be back in the days,

That might be a workstation, but not "very powerful", it has only 1 CPU, how is that able to handle complex simulations?!
"Supermicro" addressed that problem...
the majority of workstations don't actually need multiple CPUs. A workstation is actually more to do with reliability than the absolute most power. Workstations are moslty classified for validataion with other exotic hardware, and there 24/7 continuous runtime certification (you can run the thing for its entire lifecycle without fail).
You may be getting confused with more server oriented hardware. Within the Xeon lineup only both E5 and E3 are only designed for 1 CPU. both are workstation families. the E7 lineup which can use multiple CPUs are actually for servers and supercomputers.

glad i got ad blocker....i mean its like what happened to TV..it used to be pretty good now i bearly watch it, as it takes and hour to watch a 20 min show...its absurd...youtube used to be pretty great and now its going the same way, even with ad blocker which i just recently got, u still have ads being run by the actaul video!....i mean i dont want to run adblocker but its gone from a few second ad here and there to like pretty damn bad...so sorry i dont got this much time to waste...good vids tho

Daisy chaining is just plain stupid from a technical and usage standpoint. That is the reason people who don't own an Apple computer never really cared. Apple needs the daisy chaining of peripherals because they keep trying to build small mostly non-up-gradable systems with very few ports and rely on the users to buy very expensive external devices and peripherals to augment the lack of upgrade-ability.
