Hello Professor, and thank you for the course. I have a nice question for you and hopefully you will be willing to help me. Is it possible to set up the system (currently ECC 6.0) in a way that if a material (let's say semifinishedl) is produced for internal use, and therefore made to stock, does not go into quality inspection stock (Q) and if it is produced for a customer, and therefore made to order, it will go into quality inspection stock (Q)? Would you be so kind to explain the steps if such a thing is even possible?
Great question. Yes, it's possible in ECC 6.0 to set up materials differently for internal use and customer orders. You can use different inspection types and stock determination rules. For made-to-stock, you can bypass quality inspection (Q) stock, while made-to-order can go into Q stock. The setup involves customizing the inspection lot creation and linking it with the sales order or stock type. To know more you can Mail to info@zarantech.com or WhatsApp at wa.me/15153097846

Costing in Quality Management (QM) refers to the process of estimating and tracking the costs associated with quality activities in a manufacturing or service process. This includes costs for inspections, testing, rework, scrap, and other quality-related efforts. Effective costing helps in budgeting and optimizing quality processes to reduce overall expenses while maintaining high standards
