Raising kids is definitely a challenge. It gives much greater appreciation for what our parents went through. Paolo is bonding with his son as an infant in a way that most men did not in the past. It’s pretty inspiring to watch this and it deserves a lot more LIKES.

My baby is 9 months now, and let me just say, that first month was insane! It's the most important job I the world, yet you have to learn while you're doing it! I promise it does get easier. Around the 6 month mark is where I felt like I was starting to get the hang of things, and now at 9bmonths it feels more normal. You'll be pros at this with time 😊

I remembered my wife and I when our daughter came out to the world, it was rough really, because she had an infection during delivery. and we had to bring her to the OPD to have IM meds. and after a month she was admitted due to pneumonia. it was rough financially and emotionally, but look at her now, she just turned two last September and happy. Keep the faith and always be thankful no matter what the situation. Life is fulfilling when we start our family. God bless you and your family and keep safe.

Completely normal from what I can see, definitely nothing to worry about. My son's record of not doing dirty nappy was 15 days and that was apparently not the worst as the nurse told us that she encountered one who went as long as 21days without pooping. Only trouble is the baby does get a teeny weeny bit uncomfortable.
My son also only got 30~60ml top up per feed at that age. Definitely reduce the bottle feed a little bit.. Maiko was right, if you give it to him, he is more likely to drink than refuse. He is healthy, that is all that matters!

Yeah, that’s very surprising about the feed cycles. I have a newborn as well and I have an average of 8-10 times breast/formula (husband does formula when I’m on a break). How much is Maiko pumping? keep in mind that you may pump more in the morning hours than at night so you can’t really go by that number. Also mom’s milk has different vitamins, cortisol throughout the day so it might help to mix formula (Maiko can pump for you to feed at her breastmilk night) and breastmilk throughout the day. Just a small piece of advice. I just realized that the videos are probably far behind ... well anyways, I hope it got better for you guys!

Awww you guys are doing great... all your concerns are normal... he sounds like he’s feeding very well with not too much formula... if you cut out milk and only breastfeed you never have to worry about over feeding! The thought that you can over feed a breastfed baby is antiquated... you only need to worry about over feeding when you bottle feed.
But seriously your doing a great job... his face already looks great compared to how it was... he looks so happy and healthy... have faith in your instincts... much love from Canada

@ NO shaming! Shame on you! I had to learn to put an NG tube in just so my baby could survive! He had no bottle or breast for the first 12 months due to open heart surgery! Guess what?! NO social issues! He loves people. I’m so tired of breastfeeding Mums who had no feeding issues telling others they are wrong! GUESS WHAT?! If you spoke to an actual ER DR they’d tell you, FEED is best! Your judgement doesn’t affect me! My baby didn’t fight for his life to be judged by poor informed individuals such as yourself! Do you know what an ng tube is? I know how to insert one! So please take your judgemental self and close the door. Edit, also no attachment issues here either. Wow your so wrong on so many levels 😂 I knew the moment they were trying to take him off the bypass without them even telling me. Nope no attachment issues here! My baby is fully oral feed now but because I know you don’t want to be proven wrong and Google for yourself but this is an ng tube, ‘A nasogastric (NG) tube is a flexible tube of rubber or plastic that is passed through the nose, down through the esophagus, and into the stomach. It can be used to either remove substances from or add them to the stomach.’ But thanks for shaming special needs parents, babies with medical issues and normal parents who have feeding issues everywhere! You did a fabulous job! Way to go you! In case you don’t know, that’s sarcasm...

You can check on the company 4life. They have a product renewall gel. Ingredients looked all organic and safe for babies. I personally been using it for flareups, bruises and cuts. You might want to check that for baby wolverine. He’s so cute.

Wow. Feeding a baby 20 times a day. I fed my babies every 2-3 hours.

Also don't worry about putting him on a feeding schedule. Babies are really good at letting you know when they're hungry.

I had my first baby a month ago so dealing with a lot of the same things you guys are! Plus we are also breastfeeding, pumping, & using formula like you guys:) I would be interested to see a video about recommendations from your pediatrician on things like safe sleeping and activities since these vary from country to country. Like in the US babies are supposed to sleep on their backs swaddled but in other places they sleep on their stomach.

One recommendation coming from experience; you should keep a feeding/pooping log! So better to know and if you have any concerns you can give it to the doctor to look at and reference! Time will pass so quickly....definitely savour those moments!!

Can you guys try to post more episodes faster! I love watching your journey! I’m a new mom as well. My son is 3months old now. So I miss little babies! Even tho I know your son is much older now!!

Hi Guys! I do agree, you spend extreme amount time feeding. My baby eats about 9 times a day 10-20 min each time. There is a supply demand thing going on with the breast milk...less request means less supply...so doing shifts might be comfortable for the mommy but not good for the milk supply. Feeding every 2-3 h on request is the best thing and slowly removing the formula should help to increase the supply. The baby will stretch the gaps between feeds. Every baby is different of course so do whatever works for you, just thought you might find this useful. Take it easy 😋

Cluster feeding is normal, and yet frustrating, especially if not gaining fast enough. I see what looks like a latch blister/callous on his upper lip. If he’s not latched properly it can cause that. Have they checked for tongue tie or lip tie?

I couldn't burp voluntarily until I was in my teens! Drove my mom up the wall when I was a baby. I'd cry and couldn't burp.

You guys are doing fantastic as new parents !!! Our daughter was born in May this year and from your videos i remember the hardship we also went through with our little one. She had the skin problem when she was a newborn as well, just like wolfy. The paediatrician said all newborns might have this and it's like eczema. So we had to use a prescribed medicine that has a low amount of steroid. After we used it her skin got better each day. Just small tip though, we stopped using the medicine once we saw improvement (since we didn't want her skin to be dependent on medicine) but we just use a lot of cream (like we tried couple of brands and what works for us is Aveeno, here is a link to it shorturl.at/eouI8) with petroleum jelly as a protection layer (ex. vaseline) The doctor told us it's because her skin is dry so that oil will build up on her skin causing the breakouts. That's why we moisturize her skin frequently. She just turned 6 months and her skin is clear of the problem and sooo smooth :)
I am sure Wolfy will be just fine !! Keep up the great work you two !! Looking forward to the next videos!!
    All the best from Canada

Please don’t worry too much. You are doing fine and everything seems completely overwhelming at first, especially feeding. It will get easier!! Oh and his skin rash might be something called baby acne (that’s what we call it in the UK anyway) and is really common. It will go, but its just not nice to look at for a while. I have two daughters who are now 5 and 9 years old and I completely recognise everything you are going through, but honestly, it will get easier and then you will miss the tiny baby months!
