You could get a piece of foam from an upholstery shop, and cut the shape you want for that fridge/berth area. Then just store that original cushion in the garage/house, keep it nice.
I've got a Catalina 22, and I'll be cutting one big piece of foam for the dinette berth, for full time bed, more comfortable, and not wear out the really nice original fabric.
. . . Use an electric steak knife to cut foam, works great.
Thanks for the tour, fair winds.

I'm looking at the same boat and I''ll probably live on it. I had a fixed keel Catalina 25 way back in the day and I loved it. I''m intrigued by the swing keel but don''t know much about them. A lot of places I'd like to sail have a lot of shallow inlets and it could open up a world of possibilities. (Pamlico sound and Chesapeake bay) Moving parts below the waterline make me nervous and I don't know how swing keels sail differently if at all from fixed keel boats. Especially in bad weather. I''ll be interested to hear more about your experience.

Lights? If you had the lavatory sink, the drain through-hull would be located on centerline under the aft end of the v-berth. As for the refrigerator, make sure your daughter can quickly exit the quarter berth in an emergency. That fridge looks like it blocks her exit. I would not want my kid trapped in there in a critical situation.

Thanks for the reply. I'll look for that thru hull next time I visit the boat. Did you have a question about the lights?

@@christrouten9606 Just that you must have recorded this after sundown. There are parts where the lighting is so poor, I really can't see anything, like the electrical panel.

@@tomm1968 it was actually daytime when I shot the video but the boat is covered for winter so not much ambient light gets into the cabin. I had pretty much every light in the cabin turned on though so even in full sun, the shadow areas of the boat would probably still not have shown up well on camera.

Are you in the warm south, or in the cold north? When are you planning on putting the boat in the water?

I am in the cold north. I would be putting her on the water May first, but my brother just got a Catalina 30 that he needs to bring home this spring. We are planning that trip for this spring so there is a possibility that I will have to postpone my splash date to accommodate his.

@@christrouten9606 Dang! At least you get to play with a 30. That's gotta be cool.

@@svintheanajones88 I've never handled anything bigger than my Catalina 22 and my brother has no sailing experience. He only knows what he leaned from me on our 4 days on Lake Erie in my C22 this summer. It will be the blind leading the blind.
