I have the MD1178 its NICE
Yup, the exact same as yours. They are on there pretty tight though. Also I find the cable locks in pretty good on mine.
The cover screws off on the Dixon as well, and it has a pop filter in it.
Oh and I've had my 2 Dixon microphones for 10 years without any problems.
The Dixon cover fits the sure but a Sure pg58 is too short for the Dixon. Same threads. I think the clones are a little bit hotter than the Sure. 600 ohms vs 500.
I use the Dixon MD1178. A great mic for the price .... $40

Really? I tried and it didn't budge. You have the Dixon MD1178? And yea I love the dixon, and actually prefer it over the Shure. :)
