  • The Withings BPM Core is possibly one of the best blood pressure machines/ cuffs currently available (available on Amazon: geni.us/zBXkt ). It has the ability to not only measure your blood pressure but also screen for atrial fibrillation (an irregular heart beat) and listen out for abnormal heart sounds (medically called "murmurs"). If you're looking for a blood pressure device to help you keep a track of your health or to check if you have high (hypertension) or low (hypotension) blood pressure then find out why this device is so unique in our review!

    I love this device on the 3X setting. I suffer from bradycardia and high blood pressure and use this device (Kardia Mobile 6L)(Withings BPM) (FITBIT Versa 2), all of which detect bradycardia as low as 39 bpm on average 46 bpm. My primary physician referred me to cardiologist who stated I indeed have Bradycardia. This device along with other devices were paramount in detecting what normal visits to my physician did not. As we all know sometimes symptoms do not always occur when you need them to such as during a visit to your physicians office. White coat syndrome.

      Can I ask if you find the Kardia mobile 6L good? I have tachycardia along with extra beats. My doctor recommended Kardia mobile.

    Looks like its time to upgrade my Omron!!! I had been looking for a smartphone app compatible BP device and this seems to fit the bill. Thank you Doc for an in-depth review. Like you, I too have to get my hands on this device - tired of taking hand notes for morning, afternoon and evening BP reading.

      Your not the only one! just ordered one my Omron died and I normally kept nots in a notpad for my GP. No need for that anymore plus this thing wont need to go checked, I can put it in my carry on (I fly a lot). :)

    Have they fixed the 302 error that occurred with the old units which they never were able to explain or fix? I loved my Withings but went elsewhere due to the inability to fix or explain the issue which I and many others experienced.

    Thank you for your very informative review. I agree with you about the importance of aesthetics. My biggest concern in replacing my current cuff is accuracy -- and reviews are all over the map when it comes to reporting on the accuracy of these devices. Can you comment regarding the Withings, perhaps by having compared readings with the device you use in the office?

    • @DigitizeHealth
      @DigitizeHealth  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Fran- you raise an important point about accuracy. In my testing I found it as accurate as my previous home BP cuff (Omron). I'll see if I can run them side by side again and will either post a video or update you with some data points as soon as I can. Hope you're staying safe and well!

    Tried this unit and got nothing but erroneous readings. This unit always seem to read high. I really, really, wanted this to be the one, but sent this back and ended up with an Omron high end unit. Also, Withings only gives a one year warranty in the USA.

    Great review, I own a Withings Body Cardio and since then i look out for their Products. I want to ask you if you ever considered reviewing the Braun Blood Pressure Monitor iCheck 7, I am considering this one because it’s price point but I don’t know about their app, there isn’t much info on the internet and I’m sure you could do a great review.

    I’d have like to see it compared to the one the doctor uses in his surgery. The common complaint about all the home devices is they can be out by up to 20 points high or low and are therefore basically worthless and can even lead to incorrect prescribing of medication. All the tech doesn’t matter if they’re not accurate.

    Knowing you are GP and after listening to you, I punched the liked button, that cracked my laptop screen. Why did you want viewers to punch like button rather than click Like Button?
    Except above, loved your video. First time watched your channel and subscribed as I trust GP for health gadget review than other TH-camr.
    I feel that you do not recommend this device for ordinary people, any reason why? Like you said you can get electronic BP Monitor device for less than half price so you don't have to have this one.

    • @DigitizeHealth
      @DigitizeHealth  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha, I hope you didn't really break your laptop screen! No more punching like button requests. 😂 I think what I was trying to convey is that although in many respects it is a revolutionary blood pressure cuff, it is still pricey and still has its limits- i.e. as with many healthcare devices today it cannot be relied upon to provide complete reassurance. It is only a useful adjunct, i.e. better than not having it perhaps. For most people it is more important to have a cheap reliable BP cuff than no BP machine at all in my opinion. So hence the balanced opinion at the end of the review. I never want to make my audience feel compelled to purchase anything expensive for their health- you should be able to simply make more informed buying decisions so I hope this review helped in this regard!
